Decton helped me land a position that I later transferred to as a full-time permanent employee! They were always very kind and helpful in answering my questions.
When applying for that position, I was required to take a quick interview and typing test (probably due to my age at the time).
I was surprised to read that they received some bad reviews and I think people often forget that Decton is a temp agency that helps other companies staff. Complaints about a work environment aren't always their fault and the folks that helped me from Decton shouldn't have

I had the pleasure of working with Decton staffing in my search for employment. Yesenia Montano was the agent assisting me throughout this process and she did an absolutely stellar job as she was on top of everything. This review is for 10/31/17 I had just graduated with my Master's degree and needed a part-time job while pursuing my second graduate degree. I though looking through a temp agency would be a good idea. I was asked to do a phone interview with Carina Guitterez. She was a no-show and said an urgent client matter came up. I put aside time to drive home and be in my home office for the interview and was unable to get a hold of her or anyone at the Irvine office. I had to call the Riverside office. Not impressed and certainly not professional. I recommend finding another staffing service or apply

These folks are the worst to work for. My phone calls were not returned after I worked a job for them. I actually only lasted a half day because they had no cold water it was outside and my lunch was spoiled/rotten by the time I got to it because they didn't even have a refrigerator to keep our lunches and we were not allowed to buy food at the event. I was hungry and angry so I went searching for a supervisor and they were no where to be found. So I left. I was not going to be outside emptying trash cans without lunch or cold water. I worked 6 hours but 2 of them consisted of me waiting for

Beware of this "staffing agency" I feel like it's a fraud and a scam! I contacted the company on a Friday morning I was offered a position to start immediately that coming Monday! I was sent the same day for a background check drug screen and spent over an hour filling out all my personal information on their personal employee portal site. I was sent an email the same day confirming my assignment for that coming Monday. By the end of the afternoon my "recruiter" Yesenia had emailed me that the date had been pushed back to the following day....she asked me to email her Monday

Dealt with someone named Carina Gutierrez who reached out to me regarding a position, I replied and asked her to call me and turns out position was filled before the interview was done. She then offered me another position , I asked her to please call me so I can proceed forward and she never did. Very unprofessional . I know staffing agencies can't find work for everyone, but the least you can do is call people when they are interested in a position. Seems the agency cares more about the percentage they get rather than helping people or discussing options. Also find it odd that they ask

Terrible, don't go with them! Don't waist your time, apply directly to the main companies. The time that you waist dealing with their long application process, you should persevere in the real companies.

I've been with a bunch of agencies before, always had success with the agencies as they have the best positions, with the best companies. Most well paying jobs will go through temp agencies other than posting on websites. My job had suddenly ended last year and I was in a little bit of panic mode which is what happens the first week of unemployment. Around the 3 week mark, as I had posted my resumes and stuff, Mariann had called me, I believe that she got my resume of careerbuilder. I've worked with this agency previously for five years and I am working with them again now. Ellen has been my agent and she is truly excellent! Yes it's important to let any agency know you're still interested periodically, but she follows up with me too. All the assignments I've worked have paid me above market value. I feel the agency has your best interest in mind. I've talked with AppleOne and other agencies and the pay they offer is barely adequate for the job. Came here in December 2013 for an open house. Spent 15min chatting with Ellen regarding what I am looking for and she informed me that they are very busy with work. Since then, I have been getting consistent work with Decton and it has been great. Ellen is amazing and very easy to talk with. She is very prompt, professional and caring. I had an appointment today with Ellen and I was extremely impressed with her professionalism. The office and location has a nice corporate feel. I did all my input information online prior to arriving. Once I was there I had to do a few document readings in their system and that was it. No tests or videos. I feel very confident and positive that this will be exactly what I need for my new professional chapter.
