Life's Journey Counseling Center, Inc. is committed to providing therapy and supportive services in a private practice setting, which allows for healing in a healthy manner. We work with individuals (children, adolescents and adults), couples and families, pulling upon our education, extensive work experience, training and life experiences to reduce presenting symptoms.
We provide individual, couple and family therapy on a short-term and long-term basis. We provide trauma informed care. We work with caregivers of family members who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Dementia and other neurological disorders, as well as varying medical issues.

Karen began the practice in Sarver, Pennsylvania in 2003. Karen has been in the counseling field for over 35 years and has practiced as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania since 2002. Karen's tenure has included teaching at a graduate level, outpatient mental health within a community medical center, residential treatment and in-home family therapy.

The services I receive here are the exact kind of no nonsense therapy I need. They hold me accountable but also have compassion. I’ve learned so much about myself and how to manage my anxiety and depression. I remember when I first called I was offered an appointment the very next day. They have been extremely accommodating through covid. I have and will continue to recommend Life’s Journey to anyone who seeks help (and let’s face it, we could all use a little help sometimes).

Our experience at Life's Journey Counseling Center has been exemplified by kindness and attentiveness. Our therapist encourages us to look at our hangups and solve our problems in ways that work for us, as a couple. They are open to feedback about what works well or not as well. They are both fair and realistic, recognizing that they can only be as committed to us as we are, while remaining invested in our outcomes.
