Persoma Counseling Associates
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. School bullying is a serious issue that has been shown to have detrimental effects on our youth. The National Center for Educational Statistics (2019) found that one out of every five students has reported being bullied. Children and teens who experience bullying are at a greater risk for depression, anxiety, and poor academic performance.

Children and teens who perpetrate bullying are at an increased risk for mental health and behavioral health difficulties. If your child or teen has been involved in bullying, please call us. We have licensed therapists who specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families. Persoma Counseling Associates welcomes our new interns, Tricia Shepherd and Meg Thornbury!

Dawn is the Office Manager. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Business Administration Degree from Robert Morris University. Dawn joined PERSOMA P.C. in 2015. She has a background in Human Resources and Accounting which makes her an ideal fit as Office Manager.
In 1985, four psychologists developed a partnership, to provide outpatient psychological services. For the sake of confidentiality, a name was selected that didn't reveal who we were but was not difficult to remember. PERSOMA continued as a four-person partnership until 1990, when two of the four partners left and the remaining two formed the professional corporation, PERSOMA P.C.
Our board certified practitioners provide both medication consultation and ongoing management within the context of the total treatment received at PERSOMA. Our psychiatrist sees children, adolescents and adults and our CRNPs see adolescents and adults. Our practitioners will provide treatment for multiple diagnoses and treatment situations.
PERSOMA is pleased to announce that we will now be offering comprehensive Adult ADHD evaluations and treatment. Adult ADHD is not a new diagnosis (as many adults who have struggled for most of their life know) but it is relatively newly accepted in the treatment world. The first step in determining if an individual is struggling with a diagnosis of ADHD is to complete a thorough and comprehensive evaluation.
This service can be useful at all levels of management from the CEO to the front line supervisor. You are promoted into a supervisory/management position with little or no prior leadership training nor preparation for the circumstances that you inherit. An independent, objective approach is needed to address internal issues and develop leadership strategies for improvement.

The person I had a session with here was extremely aggressive, rude and ,condescending. I believe any other establishment would treat a patient better. Don’t waste your time or money here .You’re mental health will thank you.

Started treatment there, as the grief therapy I was receiving via hospice after my husband's death ended and the counselor/therapist I was seeing is a part of this practice. 2nd visit in, practice hits my checking account for $125, when my copay is only $15.00. I contact the business office. They explain that it was an error in the billing system and that they have refunded the difference between what they took and what I owed. Meanwhile, they over drafted my account causing me to lose over $100 dollars as a result of their negligence and the only thing the business office says is "Sorry

Been with them over two years after my real doctor left Premier Medical. I’ve never seen a doctor at persoma. I’ve had to reschedule appointments. I work full time but have had an unpredictable schedule this last year. After rescheduling I’ve received notices that I missed appointments and would be dropped as a patient. That’s a tactic which works when a patient actually misses appointments and is a junkie. I am neither. I’ve addressed the issue with the nurse I had appointments with. She assured me it was resolved. I had to reschedule recently. Got the 5-6 pm reminder text about an appointment
