Services
Bayou City Ballet School provides exceptional ballet training in a small school setting in West Houston. Founder and Director Alex Pandiscio has created a classically-based ballet curriculum updated for the twenty-first century. The school prepares aspiring young men and women for a life both in and beyond dance by teaching the values of commitment, kindness, and hard work.
At this age, classes meet once a week for 45 minutes. Taught by highly experienced dance professionals we offer your child a warm and loving space to explore, learn, and enjoy movement while developing a lifelong love of dance. Pre-Ballet classes meet once per week for 1 hour. This level fosters a love of ballet through imaginative classes built around age-appropriate material.
Founded in 2020, the Bayou City Ballet Youth Company provides high quality performance opportunities for advanced ballet students pursuing a professional career in dance. We strongly believe in the power of ballet to change lives.
In order to share this beautiful art with our entire community, we program an array of educational programs throughout the greater Houston area each season, including master classes, performances, and workshops, that are accessible to everyone.The Youth Company also raises funds annually to help defray the costs associated with performance, thereby allowing us to offer need-based financial assistance to its company members.

I wanted to enroll my daughter in a dedicated ballet school, and when Bayou City Ballet came up as the closest school to us, I was astonished by the philosophy of the school and credentials of the teachers. Centering ballet around physical safety and health is so important as I'm well aware of how young dancers find themselves retiring in their 20's and 30's due to injuries.
My daughter completed a creative movement summer program and is now in pre-ballet. I could not ask for a more wonderful teacher for her. Emily not only had an impressive ballet career, but she is also a preschool teacher!

She is so dedicated to her students and strives to teach the values of commitment, kindness, and hard work through ballet. I watched her class during the teacher observation week and I have never seen such calm, well-behaved and disciplined five year olds. I am an adult ballet student and I am very glad that I have gotten an excellent training from Alex. He is so good at fixing our posture and teaching basics as well as essential techniques for ballet. For those past 1 1/2 years, I have learned a lot that I will continue devoting myselt to a ballet even after I move back to where I am from. Those who beginners, intermediate, and advanced students! My six year old had a wonderful experience at the Sleeping Beauty Camp last week at Bayou City Ballet School. Alex Pandiscio and his teaching staff and remarkable. I have taken a few sessions of his adult beginner classes and have enjoyed learning very much. Teaching is an art and Alex is a true artist!

If you are an adult beginner whether you have never danced before in your life or if you're like me and you're coming back after a two decade hiatus, you NEED this introductory class! It is a progressive series taught by the founder of the school, Alex Pandiscio, who is a former Houston Ballet dancer and also teaches at their academy as well. But that's only part of what makes him a great teacher. First, he takes adult learners seriously. Mr. Alex Pandiscio has been a part of our children's dance education for the past four years. His attention to detail, and dedication to the art of ballet is of the highest caliber. We have worked with many instructors over the years, and Mr. Alex is one of our children's favorites! He spent hours coaching our son, helping him with his classical variations to be performed at Young Arts Week in Miami 2018. Caring, experienced, and insightful teachers, along with effective conditioning, provided us with the technique and encouragement we needed to become better dancers.
