Elizabeth J.K. Wood PA-C, or "Eli" as she prefers to be called, joined Westside Dermatology after practicing for more than 12 years, most recently at Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology of Issaquah. She is excited to now be living and working in West Seattle, transitioning from living in Seward Park and working in Issaquah.
Kaitlyn Greenwood is a licensed Master Aesthetician and graduate of the Washington Laser Institute with 5 years experience in the skin care industry. Her specialties include laser hair removal, IPL photo rejuvenation, RF microneedling, advanced peels, medical facials, chemical peels, truSculpt, dermaplaining, and microdermabrasion.

This was my first time booking and attending a dermatologist appointment on my own after getting my own job and insurance and moving states. A little nervous going into it but they made everything so smooth. The process to create an appointment was straight forward, they had an appointment within a week of when I called. If your time is valuable, avoid this practice! My appointment was at 3pm. I arrived 5 minutes early as instructed to complete new patient paperwork. I was pleasantly surprised when the intake nurse called my name at a few minutes past 3. She was efficient but not especially friendly or kind and told me to put on the gown and the doctor would be in shortly. I then waited for over an hour for the doctor to appear. When she did, she had the wrong patient name and chart and I had to correct her. She then left for another five minutes to get that straightened out. There was never an apology or explanation

As another review mentioned below, I have difficulty with melisma, basal cell spots, brown “age spots” & melanoma runs in my family. I have seen two doctors at this office for two years for this on/off, in addition to Botox, skin biopsies, & removal of suspicious growths. I have finally found the perfect fit: Dr K Wood. She is new, thorough, caring & very productive. I am always prepared to wait in that office… for a long time… Average is an 1.5 to be in/out. I cannot say enough good things about her. After waiting long time for an available appointment at this clinic, I saw Dr. Markus. This was a couple of months ago. I had several concerning spots, that needed screening. I didn’t find him to be particularly helpful, invested or interested in addressing my concerns, which means I will have to address them elsewhere. I think he was trying to be nice, but his tone and the way he communicated with me was as if I was some dumb first-grader. More than once he mentioned “age”, while dismissing my worries. I wish I could give a better review, but it's better if I'm honest. You see, I visited this clinic last year in June and July. I came in for a scalp evaluation, and not only was this doctor not thorough, but he didn't want to do any evaluations. As I explained the flakes in my hair he passed it off as dandruff even through I don't have typical signs of dandruff. Also, he said "people like you have to deal with this, it's just something in your genes". He just kept giving me vague advice that made no sense for my circumstance to this day as I am writing this review

While I've had two positive experiences at this clinic in the past 10 years, my last time attempt was disappointing. I called three times, and left two messages, to try to book an appointment. I wasn't quite sure which doctor I should see based on my referral. Never a response. Then I emailed, and nothing. They may be closed, or they may simply have terrible service for any number of reasons. Either way, I switched to Swedish West Seattle Dermatology and got an appointment scheduled within 10 minutes.

I did not have a good experience with Dr Markus. He had his mind set before he entered the room.
I waited 1-2 months for my appointment, and when I was seen, it was clear that he didn't want to help narrow down the cause of my issue with me or listen to the scenarios of when it happened. He already has his mind set on it's impossible to find the cause of it. I was seen for about 5 minutes and got charged over $100 for it. If you already know it's impossible to find the cause of these issues, why even accept appointment like this? Worst $100 I've ever spent

I do wonder, after all of this client feedback I see on Yelp, how they have not managed to get their customer service/phone service ironed out. Service is always great in person, but I have never managed to get a hold of the office over the phone or get a call back. Seems like this would be a simple and very important area of service to improve.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Dr. Taj. I called a month ahead to schedule an appt for hair loss. I asked if this was an issue one of the doctors specialized in and the receptionist told me Dr. Taj did. I was thankful for this and that I could get scheduled quickly. I showed up for my appt on time and waited half an hour to be seen. Dr. Taj apologized which was nice, but then acted as if she has no time for me and only allocated 5 minutes for my appt. I told her my scalp was itchy and I had experienced a recent major decrease in volume postpartum, but that I have had hair loss

Would never recommend this establishment. I was most recently was seen in December and was and still am very concerned at the treatment I received...
I had the doctor look at multiple concerns, there was NO follow up on the prescriptions she had prescribed.. I consistently called to try and follow up and speak with the PA I had seen (Taj) and never heard one PEEP back. She did not even do a mole check for me as somebody who's had multiple moles removed I find that very disturbing...
As well as prescribing me an acne medication and no follow up... months later still have not heard one word

The doctor checked me out and recommended to inject it with steroids or something instead. Despite my objections and wanting to remove it, we did that. The bump shrunk, however no less than a month later. The bump came back to its regular size. This was a waste of my time and my money. I would not recommend a place that doesn't listen to you

I was seen by Dr. Arntzen, as always a very professional, efficient, personable experience. The support staff executes their work perfectly - they are always expecting me, everything is ready with minimal waiting.
I need to go in for regular skin checks; Dr. Arntzen is very thorough and quick to address any issues, and in addition is a very nice person.

I saw Dr Markus today and it was a great appointment, I was seen very quickly and had a little biopsy done on my leg. Dr Markus was so professional and nice, he gave clear instructions and was so kind, I highly recommend this man and his office staff. Also the front girl was so nice.
Also very safe office , Social distancing in the wait area, with requiring masks for staff and patients plus pre-screening.

Love it here! I've been going here for many years now but today's visit was what made me leave a review. I felt safe from COVID the whole time with plenty of masks, face shields, and hand sanitizer, as well as them taking everyone's temperature. I'm usually a terrible blood draw (4 pokes) but last time they gave me some advice so this time we got it first try! Go Zara! (The nurse who got the blood). Zara, Taj Rock, and the front desk staff are all super friendly and easy to talk to. 5 stars!

I have never waited more than a few minutes to get into my room and the Doctors usually come in within 5 minutes, which I like. They are very good at educating me on what is happening with my skin and offer a conservative approach to treatment.

I had a great experience here. I had an appointment with Dr. Markus and it's was very quick and efficient.
I also had a laser hair removal appointment with Kaitlyn and she was great! I ended up purchasing a package so I'll definitely be back.
They were able to schedule my appointments so that they were back to back so their flexibiloty was greatly appreciated.
