Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery
Bring your group to celebrate at Club Rio (our wine party bus). Then climb on our bus and set the mood. CLUB RIO has a music system that can connect to your own smartphone playlist with a lighting system to match. Ignacio had long dreamed of planting a vineyard to make wine and Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery is the result of that dream.

When he planted his vineyard, the goal was to use sustainable organic methods of growing grapes to make wine. He uses geese and chickens to get the weeds and bugs, uses the high nitrogen water from the bottom of the fish pond he built to irrigate his vineyard so he doesn't have to purchase chemical fertilizers for his vineyard.

Decided to do some wine tasting since we were in the area. Reviewing wineries can be a little tricky as taste is very subjective. My rating is based on the experience.
First, our host, I believe her name was Barbara did a great job despite being the only person there. I hope the owner takes note, as having one person try to do everything with more than 20 guest is just being set up for failure. As such, the following review is in no way a reflection of her performance as she did extremely well given the impossible demands.
Because there was only one person if you wanted to taste a flight of wines

We visited Clear Creek on a sunny October Friday afternoon. We were greeted promptly and asked to pick a table with tasting notes on it. There were only a couple of other tables occupied. The lady that served us did a wonderful job presenting each wine and offering suggested food pairings. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and able to answer any question we asked. We did enjoy ourselves; however, the wines were not to our taste as we prefer bolder wines. We will continue on the wine trail!

There was only one person to serve - Barbara - and she was awesome managing several groups. Wine was very good. We were there late afternoon so the sun was to the west so there were comfortable places to sit.

Clear Creek Winery aka Rio Claro Winery is truly a hidden gem! Passed through here with the family on a trip to Fossil Creek, and on the way back the wife and I had to stop for some adult time. The place is completely unassuming from the road, but once you pull in you quickly find that the owners did an amazing job creating a boutique-like oasis! The wines we had were delicious. There were no tastings, due to COVID19, but even just hanging out on the patio area and enjoying the ambiance they’ve created made the stop well worth it.

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and he loved it! The cheese platter had an excellent presentation. The guy working the bar was incredibly kind and wonderful. He made it a point to come out to the tables to check on everyone. I would definitely recommend!!!

Relaxed pace in a peaceful setting. This is a hidden gem. Plan a minimum of two hours for a tasting, as the staff is committed to educating tasters on their wines. It a great bonus in addition to the wonderful wines.

Small very friendly Vineyard with lovely wines. You will gain knowledge about how the grapes are grown and how the wine is made. They also give you great suggestions about sight seeing in the area.

Absolutely great wine and owner operator. Their Primos de Bordeaux is by far my favorite wine of any in the Sedona area. If you haven't been, you must stop in. Ignacio has been doing this for quite some time and really cares about quality. I can't wait to go back.
