David A. McDowell has practiced law in excess of thirty years. During that period, he has tried more than 75 civil and criminal jury trials throughout Northern California.
He has been the President of the Northern California Fraud Investigators Association and has given numerous presentations to insurance-related organizations, including, but not limited to, the Northern California Fraud Investigators Association, International Association of Special Investigations Units (IASIU), Claims & Litigation Management Alliance and California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters.

Ms. Shaw graduated from John F. Kennedy University in 1984 and joined a small insurance defense firm in Oakland. The firm name changed the following year to McGraw & Shaw. Ms. Shaw litigated a wide variety of third party insurance defense matters. Her practice included defending insureds in personal injury and wrongful death claims arising from auto accidents, slip & falls, general premises liability, assault and battery and molestation cases.
Chris Patton is a trial specialist with 70 civil jury trials to verdict. He is the lead trial attorney and managing attorney of the Southern California operations of McDowell Shaw Garcia & Patton. For more than 20 years Mr. Patton has specialized in Special Investigation Unit (SIU) litigation. He has tried more than 40 SIU trials.
Marvin Amoroso is an attorney in the firm's Ontario office. Mr. Amoroso's legal career began over 25 years ago as an insurance defense litigation paralegal. He decided to further his career by going to law school. Mr. Amoroso has been practicing law for over 16 years and he is an experienced trial attorney, with a focus on Civil Litigation Defense, representing insurance companies and their insureds in first-party and third-party cases.
