I'm originally from Roanoke, where I grew up until I started my education at Virginia Tech. I currently live in Christiansburg, Virginia where not only am I a photographer, but I'm also a Technology Education teacher at Blacksburg Middle School. Photography is my passion. I got my start in photography in high school through competitions in Technology Students Association (TSA).

My home studio is the lower portion of my home, and has a separate entrance for clients. It's used mainly for newborn, and cake smash sessions, but also for babies, milestones and children sessions. I have a wide selection of props, wraps, headbands, backdrops and accessories. I also have a wide selection of outfits for newborns and babies up to 24 months.
I love everything about new babies. The fresh new smell. Wrinkles and flakey skin. Pouty lips and chunky cheeks. First smiles. Teeny tiny toes & fingers. Every little detail! I recommend that you schedule your newborn session PRIOR to your baby's birth to ensure a spot on the calendar. Contact me during your second trimester and I'll pencil you in.
Deciding on if you would like to have the session indoors at my studio, or at an outdoor location would be the first step in planning a one year photography session. For an outdoor location, the best lighting is about an hour before sunset, so we would be looking at meeting about two hours before sunset for the start of our session.
If you are anything like me, you probably struggle when it comes to what to wear for family photo shoots. This section will help to give you some ideas when picking out your wardrobe. These are just suggestions, so know that RULES CAN BE BROKEN. These guidelines generally work well to produce a a cohesive, vibrant family portrait; a modern take on the whole "white shirts and blue jeans", if you will.
Being prepared for your senior photo session can make the difference between average and amazing photos. Follow these easy tips and you'll be well on your way to looking your absolute best. Stephanie did our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, as well as our wedding and we are so pleased with all of them! She is so easy to work with and does a wonderful job. We got all our photos back from every session in a reasonable amount of time. We can’t wait to work with her again in the future!

Stephanie is absolutely phenomenal! She has taken newborn/milestone pictures for us, as well as several family mini sessions, holiday sessions, and now a recent maternity session. All of these experiences have been wonderful, especially because Stephanie is incredibly kind and patient with our kids. Stephanie is incredibly talented and did an amazing job with our daughters first birthday photos. Her studio is such a calm, tranquil environment full of beautiful props, backdrops and accessories. She is so patient and did so well with our spunky baby. The pictures turned out better than I could have even imagined! So thankful she was able to capture this precious time in our babies life!

Stephanie did the photos for our wedding. My Husband and I absolutely love what she did and all of the direction she gave us since we are very awkward photo people. She got us a short preview within 12 hours and a large preview within a week. I can't wait to see the rest and hope that there are future reasons for us to book Stephanie's service.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Stephanie! We did a swaddle session for our newborn daughter, and Stephanie had all one could need- bows, blankets, props... in all colors and textures. She was so sweet and gentle with our newborn who slept through the session! Our pictures were amazing, and so many of our family members and friends have complimented how precious and perfect the pictures are. You won't be disappointed!
