Compassion, kindness and non-judgment are essential to the healing process. I support you in bringing healing to the parts of you that have been wounded and remembering the parts of you that are strong, compassionate, and wise. I frequently work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, and depression.
I specialize in helping people who are dealing with the impact of childhood abuse - trauma, on their life and in their relationships. My approach is interactive and holistic and I incorporate EMDR, mindfulness, visualizations and somatic awareness into my work, along with other methods that I have found to be effective in supporting healing.

Services
People from all walks of life come to therapy. Frequently people come to therapy because something doesn't feel good in their lives and while they've perhaps tried on their own or with friends to resolve their issues, something is still upsetting to them and they become aware that getting support from a therapist may be helpful to them.
EMDR is an approach to trauma developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro in 1987. It is a tool that has been widely researched and demonstrated to be an effective treatment for those who have experienced trauma. EMDR appears to have a direct effect on how the brain processes information. It is believed that traumatic experiences (both large and small) get stored in our memory network and get stuck.
I believe that compassion and non-judgment are essential to the healing process. I strive to bring those values into my work with you. Together we discuss what's happening in your life that you want therapy at this time. The way I work is interactive. I work to create an emotionally safe, supportive space for you to discuss, be with, what is upsetting you.
