I am fully committed to Northgate Smiles as my dentist office. Although I have been a patient now for 7 or 8 years (who's counting?) I came to Northgate Smiles with lots of baggage from previous dentist's offices. I now look forward to my cleanings and fillings (or, gasp, a crown!) are drama free and not painful. They are friendly, have a gentle hand, and consistent. If my insurance doesn't go sideways, Northgate Smiles is my forever dentist (and the dentist of record for my family). I cannot say enough about Dr. Aylan and her team... keep trying to click 6 stars...

This one is disappointing.
I booked this dentist originally because of their reviews in the Seattle Met. Nobody likes the dentist, but based on the reviews published, I had to give it a shot as a newcomer to Seattle.
The facility is really nice and the location isn’t bad. Aside from that and one of the dentist aids/hygienist, I can’t say I’m impressed with my experiences at all.
I’ve visited four times now and I’ve only spoke with the dentist I originally booked with ONCE. That was at the tail end of my first visit. The dentist was lovely, but I haven’t seen her since.

Highly Recommend!
Dr. Craddock - He performed my checkup/filling/root canal. I hardly felt the numbing needle and he explained the procedure and treatment plan well. He can talk very quickly but not too fast. He was professional and welcoming.
Dr. Lu - Performed my crown, she is very helpful in accommodating my schedule, articulate with explaining the treatment plan and is professional yet very friendly.
Dental Assistant Monique - Very friendly and accommodating. Helps you feel at home.
Front Office - They always clearly explain the the costs, your insurance benefits before you go into a procedure

My son had a nightmare experience.
He went for a filling, they drilled too deep, then they gave him a root canal. He was in pain and instead of helping him they conducted more treatment that didn’t help. Then they slammed him with expenses that where not covered by the insurance and threatened to sue him if he didn’t pay. He finally went to a new dentist who take care him. We will never return.

So incredibly kind and helpful! I contacted them the day I was leaving for a European vacation with some sudden tooth pain and swelling. They were able to make an emergency appointment right away and provide triage treatment for my tooth so I can enjoy my trip, and scheduled me with a nearby endodontist for a follow-up same day.

My family's dental needs are well taken of through out the years by Northgate Smiles. Linda, my superstar hygienist, always does such an excellent job cleaning my teeth pain and making it a pleasant experience. Dr. Aylen recently did a crown for me and it was perfect. I really can't tell a crown was put in as it feels and looks perfectly natural. I highly recommend their wellness program if you don't have dental insurance as it will save you money for your dental needs. This is a top class organization.

I live in NYC and have travelled to Northgate to have Dr Ansong work on my teeth. Costs are reasonable and I pay out of pocket. However I would pay whatever it takes to work with Dr Ansong. He is without a doubt a dental genius and has the ability to fully understand what you need and want. Northgate must be outstanding if Dr Ansong is affiliated

I am writing this review because this morning I had my last-ever appointment with Northgate Smiles. I am moving to a different city and am sad to leave Dr. Aylen and her team! Between her, her assistant Monique, and the friendly front desk staff, I always felt my needs were met and I was treated with compassion and respect. They always took care to handle my payments and insurance with no surprises or issues. My teeth have always been very decay-prone (I require at least a few fillings if not multiple root canals each year), so sometimes my needs were urgent. NG Smiles always got me in quickly

I had a crown done at this place in 2017 only for it to come out New year's day 2018. When I went back to have the crown put back on it came out again not even a month after that. The dentist here then said that she was happy with her work when I decided to go somewhere else and ask for a refund. I would not recommend this place to anyone not only was the work not done well on my teeth but also I felt super uncomfortable whenever I did go in with the cleanliness and the care that I was provided. I'm sure that everyone has a different experiences but seeing all the four and five stars

I absolutely hate the dentist. I hate to admit that I had to get a bit of work done on my tooth. However, the staff dealt with my extreme fear by continuously calming me down and using laughing gas (my first time ever, and the only way I will continue to get work done) to make it enjoyable.
I have now referred several friends to them. Although it can be hard to watch tv while getting work done, it is enough distraction to make the time fly by. This office has been nominated for several awards, and I can see why. Front desk staff, dentist, and DAs were all phenomenal.

I had previously gone to another dentist in Seattle and by the end of the appointment, they were recommending Invisalign (my teeth are straight), they said my bite was off and I needed to have a crown redone which would have been $700 after insurance. I left feeling like you do when you take your car in for an oil change and they try to sell you on unnecessary services.
So I decided to check out Northgate Smiles (based on Yelp reviews) to get a second opinion. I didn't tell them what the other dentist said just to see if they would recommend the same thing about the crown. They did not and
