Since starting my chiropractic practice in 1985 I have witnessed many amazing responses to chiropractic care. The improvement of conditions as predictable as back pain, neck pain and headaches. This craftsman house built in 1924, has been a chiropractic office since 1931 and provides a comfortable and peaceful environment to provide high quality holistic chiropractic care. Off street parking is available and accessed by the driveway on the right side of the building. It is one of our top priorities to enhance the well-being of our valued patients.
Dr. Dorman graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 1985 as one of the youngest students in his class. He began private practice in Ft. Lauderdale Florida emphasizing a holistic approach to health and well-being with chiropractic treatment at the heart of his methods. In 1987 he moved to San Diego, CA and has enjoyed living and practicing here ever since.
Chiropractic is based on the idea of removing imbalances both structural and postural in an effort to allow our body to heal itself. For this to happen the network of nerves and signals from your brain, down your spinal cord, to the network of nerves must be allowed to flow freely without any interruption.
Your first visit will begin with a consultation where you will have plenty of time to share your health concerns and goals with Dr. Dorman. Then Dr. Dorman will perform a thorough chiropractic, orthopedic and neurological examination to determine the cause of your concerns. At this point Dr. Dorman will determine if he can help and explain how or if he cannot help you and discuss options and next steps for you.
Chiropractic can help reduce the severity and the frequency of your allergies. Chiropractic does not work like an anti-histamine as a direct, short term relief from allergies. Chiropractic allows your body to be better equipped to fight against allergies.

Patrick has been my Chiro for 20 plus years. One of the most consistently kind hearted men i know, so its always great to see him and i always feel mentally refreshed afterwards. On top of that he IS a wonderful chiropractor. has always helped me and i still dream about my last neck adjustment; been good to go for the past 2 years. Can't recommend P more highly...thank you

I'm so grateful I decided on Dr. Dorman as my chiropractor! He explained everything as we went through my first visit, he checked on me every time he moved me or massaged something. He's very respectful and responsive.
Also, he asked questions, felt all of my areas of pain, massaged me and then did some adjustments.
I like that I wasn't placed on a machine & then forgotten for 20 mins. He does the whole treatment himself.
He suggested I come home and ice, which is exactly what I am doing now.
Great visit! I'll be back!

Patrick has amazing skills as a healer. I am an MD myself and see him both for painful injuries and for maintenance. I also send my patients (as well as family and friends) to him. His skill and the specificity with which he applies his techniques are impressive and effective. He also has a kind and healing personality. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Dorman, Wow, what a wonderful surprise. I'm 70 and I've been to a couple of dozen Chiropractors the past 40 or so years with varying results; some not so good and others ok. Most were like mechanics, twist this, pull that come back and see me in a couple of days or sign up for 30 sessions and pay me up front. In and out in 10 or 15 minutes. Saw Dr. Dorman this past week, he took all the time he needed to understand my problems and history then gave me a comprehensive exam. I was referred to Dr. Dorman by a fabulous massage therapist. Dr. Dorman literally made my kundalini energy flow again. In other words, he connected my upper body with my lower body on a physical level. This connection, over time, has made me think clearer and my facialist says that my skin is "sufficiently hydrated." Once again my son has turned me on to Patrick and his magic hands. I have never had a chiropractic adjustment before and I was a bit nervous. From what I am told Patrick is a bit unique. He spends a good 20 minutes massaging you muscles to loosen them up before the adjustment. I have come to enjoy the adjustments and really love the massage part as well. I cant compare him to other Chiropractors, but I think he is very good.

This morning my day started off with an appt to see my new chiropractor, Dr. Dorman. I m so glad I went to see him! He was absolutely FANTASTIC!! I can t stress it enough how he straighten me up!! Dr. Dorman is super. He is the end of my search for a San Diego Chiropractor. Bam! My very discerning (and I might mean picky) friend recommended him. I'm very picky too and Dr. Dorman is a really great chiropractor. He gives you a massage at the start of each session. The massage breaks up adhesions and prepares you for the adjustment. The adjustments are thorough. He's not the guy who has 5 minutes to say hi, adjust you and eject you from the table. You can go anywhere in town for that. He is the guy who spends the time it takes to relax the body and nervous system. His hands are gold

Dr. Dorman is the best! He really cares about the well being of his patients and it shows. He's super nice and caring! He's seriously the best chiropractor I've been to, he works hard to address problem areas. He is great on fitting me into his schedule whenever I need. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!! I am floating on air after my first and definitely not last visit with Dr. Dorman.
He is a great guy, personable, knowledgable, great with his hands and the adjustment was perfect.
He got to know me first, asked me questions, listened carefully and then proceeded with a deep tissue massage on my back primarily from the waist to my neck. He concentrated on my left shoulder/neck/blade area because that's the area the was bothering me....but he also did a thorough job on my right side too. He stretched me and then adjusted me.

I have chronic neck pain but when it got so bad that it was keeping me up at night I decided I had to stop trying to tough it out. I've gone 5 times and really feel a big difference and for the first time in a very very long time feel that maybe I don't have to have chronic neck pain.
I would recommend Dr. Dorman to anyone. Nice guy, great massage followed by spinal adjustment and very reasonably priced!

I have been going to Dr. Dorman for about 12 years--I go once a month for "maintenance" -- He is simply the best. The best in every sense of the word. I have been going to Dr. Dorman since 1995. He is scrupulously honest, does just what is medically necessary, has a great bedside manner, and is an all around great chiropractor. He has helped me a ton over the years.
On top of that he is a really nice person! And also does a kind of self hypnosis called "Mind Gardening."
