Warthan Dermatology Center provides comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatological treatments. Our McKinney office has a dedicated helpful staff that strives to provide each patient tailored treatment. We offer a full range of medical skin care treatments for common skin conditions such as psoriasis, mole checks (biopsy), skin cancer screening and treatment, and rosacea.
Warthan Dermatology Center provides a wide range cosmetic dermatological treatments. In addition to our most popular fat loss procedure, CoolScuplting, we offer laser treatments, injectables, and rejuvination treatments. CoolSculpting is a non-invasive procedure that gently and effectively removes fat from targeted areas of the body that have not responded to traditional diet and exercise.
I was very nervous seeing a male doctor, but he was very respectful and made me feel at ease, I would have no problem seeing him again. Dr. Bob was great. He found a suspicious spot on my forearm and he removed it just in case and then it turned out to be a surface melanoma so I went back and he was able to remove it totally and it is totally gone!
I recently moved to McKinney and was looking for a dermatologist. After researching many in the area, I made the decision to see Dr. Mandy at Warthan Dermatology. I made the right choice. I have all confidence in Dr. Mandy and her staff. Obagi is a brand of skin care products designed to develop and maintain healthy skin through an advanced line of cleansers, toners, eye creams, sunscreens, serums and other beneficial products.

My visit was awesome. The wait was short, no more then 10 minutes in the lobby, and once the sweet young lady excorted me to the exam room, Dr Naylor (like Baylor- as he says upon his introduction 😅) came in directly. He arrived with a smile, and he was very sociable, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He made me feel very comfortable. He's very professional, and knowledgable, and detailed in his explanation concerning my skin issue, and treatment. I oould tell that he has a passion for his trade- 'extremely important' in these days because good customer service in these days, is non-existent

They made my husband and I pay upfront even though we had insurance and historically our insurance always covered everything without meeting deductible. Then we had to wait almost 4 months to be be refunded $1000. Had to call weekly and constantly given run-around. Office has lost all of our medical records when they moved to a new computer system. On top of that my husband has a huge deep scar in his cheek now where they did a biopsy. There was no discussion of options or scarring before hand. And of course the biopsy was negative.

My 8 year old son was seen recently and the first thing I noticed about this office is how well equipped they are in engaging with kids! I typically navigate to pediatric specialists but the location of Warthan Dermatology made it the most attractive choice covered by our insurance. I want to give a shout out to Q as the way he interacted with my kiddo made the entire experience enjoyable for both of us. He was "so cool" according to my son! When we checked out, the ladies at the front desk engaged with my son, they talked about his wrestling etc.. I highly recommend parents to consider Warthan

McKinney Dermatology Center, aka Warthan Dermatology, has a practice of over billing and then talking forever to issue a refund.
Despite my Aetna insurance card directly instructing to not bill the patient directly at the time of service, they require payment at time of service and overbilled me. 6 weeks after contacting them and getting put on the “refund list” I am still awaiting the credit. Meanwhile, my credit card bill is due and payment is required.
Today, when calling to inquire about the refund I asked to speak to the office manager. I was told the office manager works remotely and

The staff at Dr Mandy's office frequently had problems keeping up with the correct date and time of my appointments. I don't take it personally because while standing in line to check in for my appointments, I would at times hear other clients in front of me get irritated with the staff for the same reasons. So if you book an appointment with this office, make sure they write it down on one of their appointment cards (don't make appointments on the phone or you will have no proof). My dog groomer does a better job at keeping up with appointments.

I had an appointment with Mandy, I was NOT notified that she was going to be gone and her dad would be filling in. I was there for a full body screening. Otherwise I would have canceled and waited. for Mandy.
A spot was found on my arm possibly pre cancer. I was to told that I would have to pay $73 outside of my co-pay to have it froze off.
I fussed a bit at the young girl about being charged, since my insurance covers this treatment 100% and has in the past. I left upset without treatment.
I called my insurance and they said that apparently Warthan was coding it as being done a a hospital facility

This is the second poor experience that I’ve had at this office. Last year they failed to call in my prescription and I had to follow up and remind them to take care of it. The same thing happened at my appointment yesterday even after I reminded the assistant multiple times. Additionally, I waited in the exam room for the doctor for one hour because she had to take care of some personal business away from the office. While it was frustrating to have my time so disrespected, I was more disappointed by the staff’s lack of professionalism. During that time, no one bothered to check on me to let

First time going here, and I loved it! The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. They helped me verify a referral before I got there and easily rescheduled my appt when we were still waiting on the referral. The doctor was great. I loved that he explained things to me. I also love how aggressive he is when it comes to removing a mole that I want removed. Many docs will just say it’s fine and to leave it, but Dr. Warthan removed any I was concerned about!
