Our drilling services range from geotechnical sampling and soil classification to environmental sampling, well installation and residential services.
We currently have 2 certified well drillers on staff. Our drilling equipment includes several truck and all-terrain rigs. EDI has been providing wetland and ecological services since 1989 and has performed thousands of wetland delineations in Upstate New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio ranging in size from less than one acre to approximately 6,000 acres.

Services
EDI's residential and commercial drilling services include the collection of soil and bedrock samples, and installation of geotechnical and environmental instrumentation. Experienced drillers and assistant drillers are provided for clients who use their own professional staff.

EDI provides soil sampling as required by Towns for building permits. These services are intended for clients looking to build a new home or an addition to their existing home or structure. A low-impact drill rig is used to sample soil to determine subsurface conditions. EDI's equipment includes truck rigs, tracked rigs and protective matting capable of accessing a variety of situations.
Wetland delineations are conducted in accordance with State and Federal guidelines. A multi-disciplinary team of professional Ecologists and Soil Scientists specializing in soils, vegetation and hydrology perform each delineation. Our Team has performed wetland delineations on large-scale energy projects, residential developments, individual lots and commercial sites.
EDI provides regulatory guidance on all aspects of federal and state wetland permitting. We are here to assist clients who may find themselves in an unexpected situation and need help understanding wetland regulations and permitting. Our Team has completed over 90 State and Federal permit applications in the past 5 years.
This position primarily involves performing soil borings, rock coring, and installation of monitoring wells for geotechnical and environmental projects. We are seeking an individual with a professional attitude and appearance who can work well with our diverse clients and staff. Health and Safety is very important to us.
