It is with a heavy heart that we announce that The Wildflower Cafe will be closing at the end of the week sept. 26th. It has been an impossibly difficult decision to make. Even with the incredible support of the community, the last few years have been deeply challenging not only financially and logistically, but also emotionally.
We are simply exhausted. Thank you to everyone who supported us over the past 22 years, and to our beautiful neighborhood of Clintonville for making us feel so welcomed and loved. We are so proud to have served you. For us the Wildflower has always been an incredibly special, beautiful, and wonderfully strange place.

Services
Chef/Owner Patrick McCarthy, his wife Mo Pierce, and brother K.C. McCarthy first opened the doors to McCarthy's Wildflower Cafe over 18 years ago. Their goal was to create a comfortable, neighborhood cafe, where customers could enjoy quality food prepared daily from scratch, using the freshest and most flavorful ingredients available; an alternative to the fast-food restaurants becoming more and more common in the area.

I will never come back here again, the service was horrible! It was just myself and my toddler and she never came to check on us, I normally can never eat my eggs without hott sauce but I had to because she never came back and as she was leaving the check she asked do we need anything else then walked away, because someone else needed something, she didn't even let me answer which I actually needed a to go box, thankfully there was someone there very helpful who gave me a box and even put the food in the box for me as she seen I had my hands full with my 2 year old. She was very nice and just kept

Celiac suffers should avoid. The place looked like it had some pretty good down home American food - lots of it deep fried. But the manager told us that not one sauce they had was gluten free. There was very little on the menu I could eat, and most of that felt risky. I ended up with an omelet - the same thing I get stuck with in most places. My husband enjoyed his meal though.

Found this gem by happenstance and I'll be certain to return!! The best cream of broccoli soup and their stir fry is the bomb diggety!! Chicken so tender and moist, glistening with perfection! Can't wait to try their other menu items!!! And did I mention their pink lemonade is the Best I've EVER tasted!?!
