Registration takes place Monday through Friday starting at 9 am until 2 pm. Interested students should bring a parent or guardian, transcript from their country or US school, immunization record, and proof of residency. Students should be a recent immigrant or still require ELL services. Minimum age requirement is 14.5 years old.
New Immigrants should be able to graduate within four to five years commencing our program. Transfer students requiring ESL should be able to finish with their original graduation cohort or in another year. Student with less than 90% attendance are more likely to have lower test scores and not graduate from high school. If you are absent for a medical or legal reason, please provide documentation upon your return so your absence can be excused. However, an absence is still recorded and is a legal record the school must keep.

Liberty High School Academy for Newcomers partners with PSAL for Boys' Basketball, Girls' Volleyball and Boys' Soccer. We are very excited! All teams are based on student interest and are regulated by PSAL rules. If students have an interest they must commit to practices and games held after school.
Liberty High School uses Achieve 3000 as part of its ENL program. It is a technology based program that works to increase students' reading levels to meet the needs of the Common Core Learning Standards. All teacher use the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) to plan their daily lessons.
