Of course, no system is perfect, so we must remain ever vigilant to ensure our legal system keeps pace with the changing times.

We don't just use investigators or paralegals to handle your case; at my firm I handle your case. If you can't travel, I will come to you. I will personally read through all of your relevant medical records and prepare a demand specifically tailored to your unique situation.
Family law matters are extremely emotional and time consuming cases; at our firm, we recognize that and make every attempt to help the family heal and come together. If there are children involved, the focus should always be on what is in the child's best interest. The primary goal is to resolve disputes fairly, quickly and inexpensively; however, there are times when healing is not possible and we must prepare for a fight.
It is VERY important to be represented at the temporary hearing in a domestic case. Most Family Law cases in South Carolina will involve a 15 minute "Temporary Hearing". This hearing is to put an Order in place which will govern the rights and duties of the parties until a final Order is in place. If the case gets dismissed before it is made final, the "Temporary Order" is no longer effective.
The parent who does not have primary physical custody will usually have to pay child support. If the visiting parent has the child over 110 nights a year, that may be regarded as "shared" custody for purposes of support. If the parties can agree on a child support amount, usually the judge will approve the amount.

Mr. LaLima runs a very good personal injury law firm. He is accessible and stays on top of your case. Although the case I am somewhat involved in has not come to a conclusion I can say that whatever the outcome I know Bill has crossed all the t's and dotted the i's in his due diligence to help the case succeed. I don't know what I can say about Joe Catalano. When my family hired him to mediate a high conflict issue, I don't think he was even fully aware of how painstakingly exhausting representing our interests would prove to be (on both sides). Nonetheless, he accepted our case and every possible challenge that could have come our way and did.

Very nice welcoming office. Staff very receptive and friendly. Bill was great, very prepared to go over our case. Made us feel comfortable and we had a good meeting getting everything done.
