The Northwest Society of Interior Designers is a non-profit, regional organization of interior designers and resource affiliates. Since 1977, we've been dedicated to promoting excellence in design through career development, peer networking, continuing education and adherence to high ethical standards.
The Puget Sound chapter is based in Seattle, and the Southern Chapter, formed in 1986, is based in Portland. Members are professional designers with college-level educations who are required to attend continuing education lectures and seminars. The Southern Chapter of NWSID was formed in 1986 by Kay Davin, a designer, who relocated from the East Coast and was a member of the Interior Design Society.
