The 2002 re-authorization requires that children and youths experiencing homelessness are immediately enrolled in school and have educational opportunities equal to those of their non-homeless peers.The statute requires every public school district and charter holder to designate a Homeless Liaison to ensure that homeless students are identified and their needs are being met.

South Pointe Junior High School is dedicated to the philosophy that parent involvement is integral to the success of each student. For this reason, parents are actively recruited as our partners for success.
We believe education is about nurturing, inspiring and empowering our students through hands-on learning. In 6th grade we do this in a FANTASTIC way! We have partnered with Youth Entrepreneurs to bring our students a one of a kind learning experience where they develop the seven key principles of an entrepreneur.
