At Valley Lutheran, our mission is to provide a foundation for a life of faith, learning and service for every student through a Biblical, Christ-centered, college preparatory education and Christian relationships. With this mission, we are committed to developing our students academically, socially, and spiritually to prepare them for the rest of their lives.
VLHS offers the ability to make online payments with your checking/savings accounts as well as credit cards. As several banks now have free bill payment, it is suggested that you try to use this service through your bank and set-up automatic monthly payments to us through your bank. Financial assistance is available for families at Valley Lutheran High School. The school helps families take full advantage of the Student Tuition Organizations (STO) program in the state of Arizona and as a school, we receive scholarship money from 23 different STO's every year. This past year about one-third of the tuition paid by families was given through scholarships, which are in excess of $350,000.
Valley Lutheran has a tradition of strong academics in a college preparatory curriculum. The goal of our program is to prepare all students for success at the college of their choosing. Our history of excellent test scores demonstrates our commitment to providing VLHS students with the academic experience they will need to enjoy success after high school.
Jesus Christ is at the heart of everything we do here at Valley Lutheran High School. Helping each individual student step into a deeper relationship with Him is our number one priority. We foster students' spiritual development by engaging them in relationships, discussions, and experiences that will help them explore the calling God has placed on their lives, and the indentity that is theirs in Christ.

Our son is a student at Valley Lutheran High School. And, we are sooo happy about his attendance there.
Our son's teachers are very inspiring and highly engaged; they are so supportive. His teachers' commitment to excellence in education within a Christian context is both obvious and palpable. We are excited for him to be a student at VLHS, and we are fully onboard and committed to his education there.
The VLHS curriculum is both challenging and nurturing. There is no doubt about that. The facilities are wonderful. Great classrooms...they are new, bright and clean.

I recently brought in a foreign exchange student in my home from Hong Kong and she will be attending Valley Lutheran. As you can imagine, this is a big culture shock and a big change for her! We stopped by the school today (unannounced) to see the school. We met a student counselor at the entrance (after office hours) and the music choir teacher. They made her feel so welcome and so comfortable! I am so grateful and now she is so excited! To me - this was a great start!! I just wanted to thank them! It's the extras that make people feel welcome!

Great school if you like getting stress, anxiety, and depression. I moved schools, and man let me just say. I am happy I moved. Still suffering from teachers who just didn't care about me and most students and the principal not doing anything about the bullying. Thanks Valley Lutheran for my new development of DEPRESSION!!

Well maintained facilities. Diligent staff and teachers. Meaningful extracurricular activities. A true egalitarian environment.
99% of all graduates go on to some of the best universities in the Western United States.
If you have a high school age child and if you live in Phoenix and if you can afford this private high school, it is the best high school education for the dollar in Phoenix.
A must attend.
