The worst experience: They run my insurance card but did not tell me the hidden fee. I finished the exam and then I received a bill asking me to pay $118.11. I called them and they said you should ask your insurance company why they can not fully covered the exam. Okay, I will not visit Chelmsford Optometric Associates again.

Long time patient at the office - Doctor Lahey is very nice and considerate. The care is appropriate with the latest technology. It is a nice to be in an office that isn't a "big corporate" owned company.

I went there for an eye exam. Four months later, they sent me a bill to charge a pair of glasses that I NEVER buy for $800. Scam? I won’t recommend to go there! Always hard to get someone pick up the phone. Just want money from you.

This was my first time at this office and the staff did a wonderful job. Dr. Lahey was very personable and I loved that they offered the Optomap Retinal Exam as an alternative to the dilation drops.

After a thoroughly negative experience attempting a contact fitting at my HMO, I received such glowing recommendations for Chelmsford Optometric Associates in a Facebook group that I wondered how they could all possibly be true. Now I’m giving one of my own - after having successfully worn contacts for weeks! This knowledgable staff combines expertise and the latest technology with kindness and overall compassionate care. I feel lucky to be a patient here.

The receptionist is very rude and has no clue about how to talk to new clients. The basic requirement for the job is to have people skills which she entirely lacks.

I've had a terrible experience with this practice. The staff are confused and have misinformed my husband and I numerous times. From misinforming us about our insurance being accepted to also being confused about contact fittings. The only good part about my experience was the lady helping me choose frames. I will not be returning. I suggest hiring and training the staff to be more knowledgeable. Due to being misinformed by the staff about having a lens fitting, I am left without contacts for an extended period of time.

Dr. Lehey is great, but the billing experience was abysmal. I’m switching ASAP to another optometrist. I was charged last year an extra $50 for a contact exam that never happened. Then COVID happened, and I figured I’d give them one more chance this year. Exam was fine, but then I was told I owed $290 for exam and contact purchase. Thankfully, I knew that was painfully wrong, and I let them know. Initially, it was insisted that that’s what I owed, until it was noticed that my insurance wasn’t even applied to the purchase. She applied the insurance, then told me “if we underbilled you
