Life is constantly throwing us curve balls, challenges that can at times seem daunting or even insurmountable. Maybe it's something lacking with work, or personal fulfillment, or most often in my experience, relationships with others. Maybe you just can't see how to change old habits that just aren't working for you anymore.

I approach therapy in a highly organic, intuitive way, and have spent many years training my intuitive senses to be able to pick up on things that might otherwise be missed. I tend to be somewhat informal in my practice, operating mostly from a client-centered perspective, utilizing mindfulness as my primary foundation.
A good percentage of my practice is couples counseling, or, as I like to call it, relationship counseling. Relationship counseling can be used for a variety of relationships, not just couples, including family, friends, dyads, triads, and other alternative configurations. My clinical approach is based mostly on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other experiential modalities.
Although a cis-identified therapist, I have been working with trans clients since the mid-90's, making me one of the longer-running psychotherapists to work with Trans and Non-binary (TNB) populations. Since that time, the options and protections for folks have increased dramatically, yet there is still much work to be done in terms of education and advocacy.
Utilizing more somatic techniques, such as found in Hakomi trainings and in the work of Peter Levine, I provide therapeutic treatment for both situational and complex trauma. Many people are unaware that trauma is sometimes at the root of other difficulties that they are experiencing; having the help of someone knowledgeable in this area can be life-saving.
Sexual variance, fringe communities, alternative living arrangements; all of these are often misunderstood and judged. I have been working with LGBTQ and similar communities for over 20 years, and provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore issues related (and unrelated) to one's alternative way of self-expression.

Myles is an experienced psychotherapist with a diverse background and range of interests. His work is somatic and experiential, with mindfulness woven in as a facilitation to healing and wholeness. He has significant training in the Hakomi Method -- a particularly powerful and effective way of working, which can bring to light the limited sense of self and efficiently transform it!
