In 1924, a group of postal employees met in the basement of the downtown Knoxville Post Office. This visionary group recognized the importance of the credit union movement and became the first members/owners of the Knoxville Post Office Credit Union. As charter members, they organized the credit union using the basic concept of a cooperative, non-profit financial institution.

This is our dividend-yielding checking account for members who maintain a higher balance and would like to earn a return on their deposit. This account offers Rewards credit and debit cards. Earn points every time you use your tnConnect Rewards VISA debit card. VISA Rewards comes free with Digital and Interest checking accounts.
Your tnConnect debit card is used just like a credit card, but when you make a purchase or transaction, the money is taken out of your checking account. It's a safe and convenient alternative to using cash or checks. Your debit card also acts as your ATM card where you can withdraw money from your accounts, deposit checks, or see account balances.
Your children and grandchildren can use this account to "Shoot for the Stars" and learn how much fun saving can be! Membership is open from birth to 12 years of age. With this account, we also offer a One-year Tailored Certificate. The minimum opening balance to earn dividends for this certificate is $500.

Not sure what happened with the few negative reviews, but we have had nothing but top-notch, professional, and courteous experiences in the 9 months we have been using TN Connect. Always a person answers the phone promptly. Usually, that person knows the answer to your question. If not, transferring is quick.
The branch manager Caroline at the Seymour branch and Sharon from the mortgage department are both awesome!

You do not want this bank handling your money.
My first contact with them was a phone call requesting information as to what all they would need from me to open a new account, being as I was moving to TN from KY. The lady was incredibly rude, indicating that if I didn't have proof of residency I couldn't open an account, that I needed a TN license and a KY license wouldn't suffice - she hated her job and thus clients.
I had a single week between the transition to get my affairs in order before I began my new job. I had anything and everything else that could confirm my identity, you name it.

Tn Connect has my car loan. They beat everyone's interest rates, even my banking institution where I have been for 20 plus years. Recently, I got a small car loan for my niece through TN Connect. Worked with Carolyn Kyte for the 2nd car loan. She was extremely attentive to my needs and treated me as if I was borrowing big bucks!
