Services
There are multiple theories about the origin of Jiu-Jitsu. Some say the art goes so far back; that many have connected the beginnings of the art to different places throughout the world. We believe that with substantial research, one day we will learn the actual timeline of events, and how it really happened.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling based martial art that focuses in controlling your opponent through distance control, technique, and leverage, without having to hurt them in the process. This place is special. Muchacho focuses primarily on sport jiu jitsu, but it's all applicable to 'the streets'. I've been going here for over a year 4x a week. The community and camaraderie we have is incredible. The priority Muchacho places on 'take care of your partner', 'don't get hurt', 'learn the technique. don't just use strength' and the knowledge he has about 'my game' and where it's lacking feels like every class I take is a private. Thanks Muchacho!

I have been training at this academy for almost 2 years and every day I wake up with the same enthusiasm as the first day, not only because I became a sports fan but because of the sense of family and team that exists and that they showed me from the first day. They gave me all the tools to compete in tournaments and win gold medals in them just like all my teammates. I do not regret choosing this academy to practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Muchacho is a professional and a Master in the art of BJJ. 100% recommended and best of all, it is 100% bilingual.

Safety Harbor Jiu-Jitsu will become your second home. Here you’re not just a student and Muchacho is not looking to sign you up just to get your money. You are part of the team regardless of level and experience. He is devoted to all his student’s and will help you to reach your goals. The school is full of positive vibes from everyone with no drama or egos. My wife loves the way he treats our kids, and my daughter is excited to return after soccer season is over.
