Lumina Foundation-Education
To realize this vision, Lumina Foundation works to ensure 60 percent of adults will have a college degree, certificate, industry certification, or other credential of value by 2025. America needs clear paths to learning and success after high school that make the nation stronger and meet the needs of today's student.

No matter where you come from, what you look like, or how much money your family has, you should have what you need to learn, grow, and thrive. Lumina Foundation works in partnership with education and business leaders, civil rights organizations, policymakers, and individuals who want to reimagine how and where learning occurs.
Services
Lumina supports state leaders' efforts to increase post-high school attainment through Strategy Labs-a resource for policymakers and influencers in all 50 states that provides nonpartisan research, data, peer advice, and technical support.

Strategy Labs enables state policymakers and systems-level higher education leaders to collaborate with one another and experts to develop strategies that help more people secure education and training after high school. This national platform also provides opportunities to receive funding support and advice from Lumina Foundation.
Lumina Foundation is an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. We envision a system that is easy to navigate, delivers fair results, and meets the nation's need for talent through a broad range of credentials.
Society's need for talent has never been more urgent. The nation needs at least 60 percent of adults to have a college degree, certificate, industry-recognized certification, or other credential of value by 2025.

To get there, we are working with business, community, education, and government leaders to restructure education and training systems that have granted exceptional opportunities to some while leaving many Black, Hispanic, Latino, and Native American adults behind. No matter where you come from, what you look like, or how much money your family has, everyone should have what they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
We're working with partners to create opportunities for learning after high school that benefit everyone. Labor economists say two-thirds of U.S. residents from 25 to 64 will need college degrees, certificates, industry-recognized certifications, or other credentials of value by 2025 to meet individual, economic, and social demands.
Economists, policymakers, and other experts spend a great deal of time talking about the "future of work, " but in many ways, the future is here. Profound changes already are affecting our workforce and economy, including globalization, automation, and artificial intelligence. We need to adapt by adequately investing in the education and training of human workers.
