Shenandoah Valley Bicycle CLTN
Together, we are reclaiming our streets, trails, and public places for current and future generations of walkers and riders. Tools, skills, and resources for everyone to be able to choose whether, where, and how to ride. Advocacy and outreach to connect prospective riders, current bicyclists, and civic leaders.

Exceptional mountain biking trails, greenways, safe routes to school, and welcoming road riding routes. Regular, volunteer-led trail work is a cornerstone of the Coalition's culture. It's also what has transformed nearby National Forest and private mountain ridges into premier mountain biking terrain.
Services
Greenways connect the places we live, play and work, providing transportation and recreation options for all. Greenways are the ultimate accessible transportation infrastructure: safe, inviting, and enjoyable to children on bikes, parents with strollers, and walkers of all ages and abilities. We advocate for building smart greenways that strategically connect the places we live, play, and work to create more enjoyable and networked communities.
The Shenandoah Valley Bike Coalition is committed to building safe routes for human-powered transportation that connects our cities, towns, and rural countrysides. Launching Safe Routes to School programs in our local school systems, restoring the freedom and confidence of children to walk and bike to school.
The Shenandoah Valley is graced by some of the most beautiful geography in the world, including the presence of George Washington National Forest, which comprises over a million acres of rugged, spectacular public land. The Bike Coalition, its predecessor organization, and its members have been working with the United States Forest Service to improve and maintain trails in the GW since 1993.
Massanutten Resort's Western Slope offers over 15 miles of trail on more than 800 mountainous acres, great for mountain biking and trail running. Much of the trail system was built and is maintained by Coalition volunteers.

Thousands of trail work hours, handcrafted rock gardens, multi-level single-track, and a teaching playground for area youth, the trails on the Western Slopes of Massanutten Resort are premier mountain bike riding in the Shenandoah Valley. To access these community-build trails, all riders must have a Trail Pass.
Whether you love being outside or are ready to flex your community outreach muscles, the Coalition needs volunteers of all kinds. The Trail Adoption Program (TAP) program empowers local organizations, businesses, and individuals to engage, support, and manage the challenge of. We believe that everyone should have a voice in designing their communities for better biking, walking, and connectivity.
