I highly recommend you NEVER use this Credit Union for any Loan. Our loved one died from COVID. They would not let the family pay the loan for our loved one after multiple attempts. They refused to work with the family in any way. We were trying to pay the loan off. They repo’d the car before we even had the probate court date. Our son has no way to get to college now. Their customer service team was very rude and Mrs Brown their collections supervisor was highly rude, judgmental, and disrespectful.

On 1/3/2022, I tried to call Member Source Credit Union in order to pay off my credit card in full. Apparently, because the balance was so large, it couldn't be processed on line. It had to go through a 3rd party phone system where they charged me $8.

The best part is when I asked Erika for a payoff balance today, she said she couldn't give me that payoff balance until tomorrow. My husband and I have had a terrible experience with MemberSource. The number one thing they need to work on is their online banking system. it is terrible. Truly horrendous. We were constantly locked out of our account no matter how many times we changed our password, cleared our history, cleared cookies, ect. You would think the app would be easier but it's just as bad. 1st off, i am not a member, i use them as a service branch of my ATL credit union. I have been using this branch for ALL my banking transactions for over 5 years. Before Covid-19, the branch was always clean, had pens to use and was nicely greeted upon walking in. Now with Covid-19, i use the drive thru and they keep the slips stocked outside and always with a pen in the holder. I NEVER saw or witnessed anything bad here from any staff! Where do you start with a horrible bank. 1- no technology--expect all work to be done by paper and usps-- that tells a big story and horrible horrible customer service-- it took 5 days for a small loan to pay off and they collected extra interest and, get this I tried to close my account and they kept cancelling my transfers to my other account to close it out-- finally I had to hire an attorney, a friend of mine sent a big nasty letter questioning their delay tactics and they said it was all a mistake. -The competence of this branch is horrible.
I have been out of the country on multiple occasions and each time I have told them to leave my credit and debit card open for a certain date thus allowing me to make purchases abroad. Just this last time I was STUCK out because my card was being declined... This was before the date I had requested.
-Outdated branches- Cant make deposits in the the ATM. Out of the two known Houston locations only one has an accessible ATM.
What is the point of Chip card technology- If I have to alert the branch each time I leave the country?

I had very little money in my account and caught a lyft there to deposit cash since I'm a server and get tips.
It was supposed to be drive thru only and one of the ladies at the front desk allowed me to go ahead and make the transaction. I don't even bank here I'm with first service credit union but they definitely made the experience simple and easy for me!

Janette and Stacy were discriminating a person with a medical condition by asking them to step outside after the teller window had asked me to step inside to speak with an assistant manager. Jannette at the front desk claimed there was no manager on duty and nobody in charge above her, so they had Stacy come out and threaten to call the police because I wouldn’t step outside while they did my transaction. I honestly wish that I could give membersource a rating lower than one star. Twice now there has been fraudulent activity with venmo with someone trying to request 200 dollars from my account. Membersource has applied fees twice for this issue and is now telling me there is nothing they can do since the same type of fee was credited last year. This is no longer my primary account so I rarely use it for bills or personal activities. They have the ability to see this and compare my charges on the account but the choose to be rude and inconsiderate to force me to pay for fees accrued due to fraudulent

Banking experience is TERRIBLE! In person, over the phone, or even drive thru. COLLECTION DEPARTMENT, please before you call a customer specially during this pandemic please make sure to check your clients bank history, payment history & please answer OR return your clients calls. I'm glad I'm always on time with my payments and I'm glad I know how to deal with my finances. I was getting charged late fees and other penalties when I've never ever been late on my payments. The very unprofessional staff doesn't have any customer service experience on how to communicate. couldn't explain a sample question regarding the principle payment. The charge for no reason for late payment and other fees. charge interest on principal payment. There are so many credit unions by far better than this member source credit union, i will be transferring my loan to other credit unions and not recommending this place to anyone. The dangerous thing about this bank is that the late fee doesn't show up in the statement. you might be paying late fees and not knowing about it and just adding

This is a little late, but last year my husband and I worked with MemberSource Credit Union to get a home equity loan. Our loan processor, Shrunda Ervin was absolutely AMAZING!!! She was extremely patient and thorough as she walked us through the entire process.
After previously working other "financial establishments" that just give you the run around, trying to get you to refinance, I was dreading the whole process of a home equity loan and Shrunda made the experience as easy as possible. I will definitely recommend Shrunda and MemberSource Credit Union to everyone I can.

ZERO STARS....i am not happy with this company, I was in hospital for a long period with Cancer and they reported me late 5 times because I was not able to receive my mail. They would not waive or remove due to my illness...wow...not good if your in Good Standing before something major happens in your life....go somewhere else where they will look at your history and work with you. Note, I also had their insurance to cover my payments and they still reported me late during the approval of the insurance.....ZERO STARS.......GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY WILL UNDERSTAND YOUR SITUATION........

I had an amazing Shared Branch transaction today with operator 188. She's the nicest banker I've ever met. Additionally, service was fast, they pay attention to detail, there's plenty of up front parking, clean facilities, and am ATM inside as well as outside. Great experience!! This my favorite place to bank that I have ever used (been banking since 1960) started here in 2007. I must admit I use the bank in The Woodlands, there is no way they could be any better! I am usually in and out in less than 5 minutes, I just love coming here! Feels like I have my very own little bank! Recently I added my new wife to the account, they were much easier to deal with than Woodforest was. Me and my husband have been members here for 6 years and we are very satisfied with their service. The staff are always courteous and helpful. Plus they are open on Saturdays so it's very convenient. I don't have to take time off work to go to the credit union. They also offer safety deposit boxes for a reasonable price which we use. Give them a chance. Thank you and keep up the good work!

We usually come here since they are a sister branch for my husbands credit union. Sometimes they take a little longer at the drive thru, but that's expected since it's a big branch and I know what it's like to work at a bank!

I don't like how they have a lot of lanes yet only two or three are only open. They are however fast and efficient when conducting transactions. Never had an issue.

Thumbs up! Oh and the ladies are always nice through the speaker !

I have never experienced such BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE at a bank like i have at this bank! I have a few banks that I use and this one is definitely the one with the most rude women. They're always busy talking and holding up a line instead of worrying about assisting their customers, asking a question to majority of these tellers you better get ready for a monotone answer with a side of attitude. I stopped going inside and chose the drive through option instead and of course nothing was different. They treat you like you're a burden most of the time. I've maybe ran into TWO decent tellers

I been Waiting for my Credit card to arrive for more than 15 days, its pathetic knowing that we are now in 2016/17 and you guys are still leaving in the OLD AGE and can not provide a temporary Credit card. One of the best things a business can do is out themselves in their customers shoes. I honestly wish I could give this place less than one star, as I sit here on hold for the 17th minute in a row! I've been a member here since 2011, and service has been going downhill fast since August 2015. As soon as I find a new bank, I'm quitting MemberSource, and here's why:

In the past few months I've been on NEVER ENDING HOLD at least 6 times.
There's no consistency regarding check hold times...sometimes they hold it for three days, sometimes they put half in savings and hold the rest for a day or two...when I asked about why it was always different, despite the

I have been a member of this Credit Union since 1981! Yes, for over 35 years and I would not bank any where else! I trust them implicitly with my money. I go to the branch at 5400 Westheimer most of the time and the folks there are wonderful. Sometimes people only write reviews when they are upset. More people should write reviews when they get food service, not the one off bad experience. Highly recommend this Credit Union.

Usually have a pretty good experience here but today the drive thru teller (only known by a number #194) had the worst customer service I've ever experienced there. As I paid cash for my car note he insisted upon seeing my driver license to put the balance on my receipt. I was driving the car I'm paying for yet he still refused! Needless to say once the car is paid for I will NEVER go back to this credit union. I recommend you find a credit union with professional employees because this isn't the place!

They do not accept lease for proof of address. This does not make sense especially when a lease is the ultimate proof of address that the government accepts to process one's driver's license. I wasted my time at this CU because there was confusion circling what is accepted for proof of address or not and I don't think its a great idea to start business with a CU that simple does not have common sense policies.
