We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Our location in Hellertown has been in operation since 1897. Pliny A. Bergstresser first opened the funeral home when he combined the business with a cabinet making and furniture sales store. Then in 1942, Clarence W. Templeton purchased the funeral home. Templeton Funeral Home was in operation for 42 years before Clarence desired to retire.
Baker funeral home is blessed to have a facility that allows us to host events in our community that celebrate and honor our community members. In the past we have hosted memorial events ranging from celebrating our fallen soldiers. If you have an event in mind that will take a large facility, please feel free to contact us.

On top of the great, top-notch service, Burkhart Funeral Home provides in everything they do. Craig and Carl are extremely compassionate and will always put the grieving family first. They take away all burdens from you and handle all services professionally. Hard-working, ethical and really strive to serve the people of this community. I wish I could give more stars. Working the Burkhart Funeral Home was a great experience. The staff is friendly, professional, well organized, and extremely knowledgeable. Not being a resident of Crawfordsville, I was worried that it would be difficult to make the arrangements that I was hoping for, however, the staff at Burkhart funeral home took care of everything from placing adds in local newspapers to arranging the masonry company for headstone engraving.
