When building a trailer, the total Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) must be determined in order to select the right axle or axles for the application. GVW includes the weight of the empty trailer and the weight of the intended cargo. Example: 2,000 lb. First, determine if you want brakes on each axle. Most states require by law that at least one axle has brakes.
Our part numbers for Axles are assigned in accordance to the capacity, bolt pattern, type of brakes (if any) and type of spindle used. When ordering axles, the following information should be helpful to you. 545: The next group represents the number of studs and the bolt pattern of the studs (545 = 5 on 4 1/2", 655 = 6 on 5 1/2", 865 = 8 on 6 1/2", etc.).
The primary cause of electric brake failure is a loose or corroded connection in the brake wiring. The weakest point of the wiring connection is located under the trailer, at the axle, where the magnet wires exit the brake. Over time, the outer covering of the wires will become brittle and crack/break, exposing the wires, allowing the wires to short circuit against the trailer frame, axle, or against each other.
Collecting the information below will simplify the ordering of hub or hub and drum for your axles. If the axle is a brake axle, measure the diameter and width of the brakes to determine brake size. On 8K and larger axles determine if it is equipped with ABS, and requires a drum/rotor with ABS exciter ring installed.

Ran into and issue with our fifth wheel and needed replacement leaf springs quickly. Called here with the industry number when nobody else had them and he had 12 in stock for a reasonable price. Picked up the springs and got us back on the road quickly. Don't overlook this place if you need emergency leaf spring replacement for your rv as they may have them in stock.

My 20' car trailer was rear ended by an 18 wheeler. Rear ramp was pushed in and wood broken and needed replacing. Took it to Humphrey's. I won't say they were exactly the quickest but I wasn't in a hurry anyway. However, the workmanship was perfect, you couldn't tell it had ever been hit and the door aligned up with no problems. They also used the specially impregnated plywood (which was the cause of most of the delay.)

We were in a bind. All the other suppliers and shops were unable to work with us. He personally dismantled a compete product to give us spare parts that we were missing from another company. No money. Just a gift of confidence with a request to give him the parts when we got them in. True gentlemen and an absolute hero for us. Please give him all of your business. This is the support we're missing in this internet world. We'll be a return customer.

Absolutely wonderful service!! Great price, great service & quickly done!! We are fulltime RVers & needed a tow bar & plate & breaking system installed on our jeep & were only in town for Christmas, so we… didnt have a lot of time! After going to multiple RV shops in SC (it would take 5 days for the install & they would need both our jeep & rig for all 5 days) & calling multiple RV shops in Pensacola (they couldnt fit us in until after the new year & also needed both vehicles), we came across Humphrey's Hitch & Trailer parts! They came highly recommended

What do you do when traveling cross country and your hitch gives up the ghost? Call on these folks please! They didn’t have to get us in that very day AND get us out that very day. But they did with style. And even let us hook up to their 30 amp so we could hang out in the RV with the a/c on! They bent us back in shape, gave us a weld, and saved our day. Thanks again y’all!

If I could give it a zero I would.
Took a trailer with an auxiliary battery that was not charging while the truck was on to them to fix.
Instead of diagnosing and replacing the wire or fixing the issue. They cut the wire. Leave it in the truck. Add a new one directly from the battery to the trailer plug.
I told them when I realized what they… were doing that it would kill the batteries on the truck if it sat. They argued with me about it and did what they did.
I have not gone one single day without jumping this truck.
When I called the owner. He was unwilling to listen, he just hung up the

Experienced the worst this morning while trying to purchase some parts for my trailer, pull in to shop and didn't want to block the entrance way so pulled around to the back of building to turn around and was confronted by the owner as I got out of my truck and said good morning Tao and that's when he started in on me,who did I think I was,I must be… the owner of this property and he threw his keys at me and then stormed off. I then decided it was best for me to just get in my truck and leave so I would not act in a way out of my character. Apparently he was having a bad morning. I have never
