Merri-Loo is a non-profit, cooperative preschool program established in 1968 housed in the historic Grasmere Town Hall. Merri-Loo is a school community made up of Children, Teachers and Families working together to provide a nurturing, creative and joyful environment in which children can learn, grow, and express themselves.
We believe that children learn best when they are comfortable, confident, and they feel respected and appreciated. We believe that children develop in a predictable sequence, but on their own individual time line. It is our job to provide them with experiences that will help them to move forward in the developmental continuum.

Services
Every year we work hard to make it a successful fundraising year for Merri-Loo and appreciate all you can do to help. Our fundraisers pay for Merri-Loo's monthly expenses and bring new things to our classroom. The children benefit greatly from our involvement! Spend an evening playing 10 lively rounds of Bingo for a chance to win prizes from Vendors like Lu La Roe, Pampered Chef, Younique, Thirty-One, Adornably Yours, Lip Sense and many more!
In the Nursery class there is an emphasis on becoming acclimated to the school setting and the school schedule including socialization and communicating with peers and adults. This is accomplished through periods of free play, large group meeting time, small group activity time, and outdoor play. In the Pre-K class we continue to emphasize the importance of caring for and respecting each other as individuals while working together as a "team".
