Hollis Preschool is determined to set the bar when it comes to the safety of our children. We have made significant changes to our operations in an effort to provide the cleanest environment possible for everyone. Hollis Preschool was started by a group of Hollis residents so that their children could get together and learn to play, share, sing, paint, and tell stories.
Since its conception, hundreds of children have attended our school, and even some of their children too. The heart of our philosophy is based in that premise and although we have changed, grown, and moved over the years, our commitment to a solid early childhood education remains strong. Hollis Preschool is lucky to have a staff full of lead teachers and assistant teachers that are passionate about helping children grow and succeed.

Over sixty five years ago the Hollis Preschool came into existence when a group of residents decided that the children needed to meet and learn to play and share with other children, to sing, paint, and listen to stories. A private residence housed the program for a year, before it moved to the Hollis Congregational Church, where it remained until 2001.
Located in the heart of Hollis, NH for over 65 years, Hollis Preschool continues to provide the families in Hollis and its surrounding towns with a quality early childhood educational program.
Hollis Preschool supports a "child-centered", "play-based learning" philosophy and helps create an environment that supports and enhances children's play inside and outside the classroom while honoring each child's individual skills, abilities and character.Along with the Director, the volunteer Board of Directors helps to oversee the daily operations of the school, its future development and endeavors.

Learning through play or "Play Based Learning" (PBL) is a term that is used in education to describe a way for children to make sense of the world around them. Playing allows children to develop various cognitive and social skills, mature emotionally and most importantly gain the self-confidence to engage in new experiences in their ever-changing environment.
The health and safety of our students, staff and families are paramount to Hollis Preschool. Effective immediately, the following protocols will be enacted. These protocols are subject to change. All Hollis Preschool staff will be required to wear masks while interacting with students or adults while indoors.
Each child has a cubby in which to store jackets and bags, as well as a spot to keep papers and projects going home. All of our classrooms are bright and cheery, with ample space for children to engage in a variety of hands-on and imaginative play opportunities. Our teachers take pride in the children's work and display many projects on the walls throughout the year.

Amazing place !!! My son has never gone to any day cares or anything that I’ve dropped him off at before and he’s 3, went here for camp this summer before preschool starts in September and loves it ! He can’t wait to get out of the car and go every morning does awesome crafts and pictures plays outside and the staff is amazing and so sweet !
