Amazing store, the owner Rick and his wife are great people! Some really great stuff here especially considering you’re in Boston! They have something for everyone. Old rock concert tees and plenty of country boots, apparel, and accessories. They’ve been in the area well over a decade and I sure hope they don’t go anywhere! They also have an AWESOME selection of both classic rock and country records. I found a few albums that I am so excited to throw for a spin. It’s hard for me to believe I found classic country music records eye in Boston, MA! The store sits in a very beautiful area and

I've been shopping at Rick Walker's for years! Bought everything from authentic cowboy boots for my daughter, to gorgeous bolos and amber jewelry to motorcycle jackets and leather pants. The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable about the items they sell and really get to know their repeat customers. And the rooster, Henry, is an absolute darling!
Visit Rick Walker's...you will not be dissapointed!

Rick Walker's is the ultimate Boston destination for great Western Wear and Rock & Roll clothes, jewelry, and footwear. They also have a great collection of vintage items. The owners and staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. You may even catch some local musicians playing in the store if you stop by in the evening.

Well, if you happen to be looking for a place for used boots and leather jackets to let out your inner Steve McQueen or delevop your Marlboro Man persona, this is your place. And you can even do it in relative private, because I do not think the person sitting behind the counter in front noticed us walk in, or even noticed when we walked out!

Extremely rude "service". We were sitting in the back of store, happily trying on shoes and chatting about which ones we love and want to get, and the front desk person came checked on us twice, asking "is there anything wrong with you guys", and commented on that he "doesn't understand how it's such difficult decisions". When we wondered about return policies, he said "well, the store's gotta pay rent every month", as if it was an offensive question.
It was a rare beautiful sunny weekend after weeks of gloomy weather, but he managed to ruin our mood for that day completely. Would give negative

Not sure how I haven't reviewed this place already...
Rick, Rachel, and Henry Rizzo the rooster are the coolest group you'll find on Newbury Street. Whether you're looking for vintage boots, denim, leather, biker or cowboy styles, they have you covered. Their jewelry selection is also top notch if you're into turquoise. I even have a super cool wolf ring I picked up here.
This is a fun place to just walk around, too because you'll find things you didn't even know you wanted. Along with jackets and tees covered with motorcycle patches and branding, it's like

While they are located on Newbury St., Rick Walker's is the anti-Newbury St. experience. Leave your pretensions and attitude at the door, 'cause this place is like hanging out with your buds, if your buds are rock 'n' roll cowboys. Cool vintage boots, awesome new and vintage clothes, loads of jewelry (not a jewelry guy). If you need help, ask for Henry...he will set you up. Oh, and the response to Chucklehead?...Frogging grait!

Rick Walkers shop was one of the highlights of our first trip to Boston from the west coast. Rick and his wife were more than personable. Their shop has been in the family for quite some time. And it is rich with history. Rick is involved heavily in the local music scene. If you are a musician, stop by the store just about anytime and bring your own guitar, or chose one from his very nice collection as an in store loaner. He is always happy to play with anyone. As far as the store and merchandise goes, you will find everything from back in the day to current styles. Retro to Mod. And Rick and his

I moved to Boston 3 years ago and Rick Walkers is always on my drop in list when I'm walking by on Newbury Street. Yes it's not for everyone - the look and vintage style has a Western and rock and roll flavor, but the items are unique and really good quality. I especially love the boot selection and the American Indian jewelry. The vintage leather jackets are great too, and the fact that there's a rooster (or chicken?) in the store just makes it cool.

Best vintage store in Boston !! They have the best selection of boots and western wear around ! But you have to realize they have tons of amazing vintage jewelry, purses and clothes. The prices are very reasonable, and are just a fraction of what you would pay at other Boston vintage shops / boutiques. I found a legit vintage Coach Bag that I rock everyday and get constant compliments on ! I work nearby and try to make it in there every couple weeks. The merchandise is always different. The people working there are very sweet and they have a pet rooster greeting customers as well. This is a Newbury

My sister is on the hunt for cowboy boots, so we ducked down into Rick Walker's to see what was on offer. They have reasonably priced vintage/gently worn boots and other items both cowboy and non-cowboy themed.
By the front of the register they have a live rooster in a little cage (we hoped he goes home to a nice big coop at the end of the day).
The staff was friendly and helpful but not pushy.
My sister didn't end up buying the boots she tried on (she wants something flashier!) but I had to review the store anyway.
Check it out!

The thing I find so AWESOME about this Country vintage store in Boston.. you walk through the door and the first thing to great you isn't a person, it's a ROOSTER.. a LIVE animal.. awesome-sauce..
The clothes are great, but are a little over priced. There is a great haggle opportunity there if you know your clothes and prices. All in all great atmosphere, just wish they had a bigger selection..

I never leave Newbury without stopping here for a treasure hunt.
I'd been looking for cowboy boots specifically, which is why I first came in. But they're just an amazing all-around store. If you stick around, considering an item for a while, they'll be willing to discount it for you! (caveat: I was told that the really small sizes don't sell as fast, so I'm not sure if that's the reason I was given discounts specifically, or they do it for everyone).
I picked up a pair of boots with lizard skin that were supposed to be 150, a pair of plain tan leather ones priced

I had been looking for someplace that sells authentic cowboy boots for a whileeee - and i had randomly found this place on newbury st. Laid back atmosphere. Large collection of interesting and fun vintage belt buckles. All the boots are awesome, the vintage ones are normally in the 125-ish range. If this seems like a lot to you, take a glance at the prices of the new ones. I can't knock them for this - Rick Walker's carries quality products. Got me a quail hunter belt buckle and a bolo tie.

I agree with Craig C. Rick is super cool.
I bought a cool cowboy-esqe belt with a super neat-o mermaid belt buckle here. Rick's wife was nice enough to punch an extra hole into the belt for me because it didn't exactly fit right.
He also has a piano, cool fireplace with a couch and super killer rock and roll cowboy gear. No Berklee guitar player is complete without at least one accessory from Rick's store.
