Phone experience is definitely rated a thousand if I could. His name is Giovanni. I recently lost my mom while she was on vacation and I called to inquire information to close her account. If he didnt know how to help me he was very informative as we searched Google together. He was very compassionate and comfortable to talk to, like a family friend. My fiance and I appreciate ur patience as I had no clue what to say or how to ask for it. You made me at ease with the process and I assure u I will be continuing my own business with him in the future. God bless you giovanni. Ur words and humor went

Approximately two years ago I purchased a car and the dealership connected me with Dexsta as they had low rates. Unfortunately last week I paid the car off three years early as I just could not deal with this company any longer. The last straw was when Dexsta added almost $3,000 for car insurance. Of course I have my own insurance, but no one tried to call or email me from Dexsta, and when I tried to resolve with Dexsta they were, as usual, hard to deal with. I recommend no one do business with this company

Stealing money.

After more than 20 days of waiting for a merchant refund to show up in my account they tell me it just magically happened that Visa had a "Glitch" on the exact same day I happened to return something?? I seriously doubt that. They owe me almost $1000 dollars and have STILL not put the refund back into my checking account. I called Visa, they say it's Dexsta . . . Ridiculous!!! WHERE IS MY MONEY!!!

Terrible. Terrible and Terrible. If you are trying to get any loan from here, PLEASE STAY AWAY. I am doing you a favour.

1) They charge "small fee" of $5 every time you try to make online payment (Small fee..? really?)
2) Their customer service is AWFUL. If you try to get something resolved, just give up. They won't help you or even apologize to you.
3) If you try to complain about anything, they won't take you seriously. All they do is either read something out of their "Customer Service

Would be 5 stars because I have no complaints about fees and I like their online banking system, but I recently had a ridiculous experience trying to deposit my security deposit check. Both me and my roommate's name were on the lease, so the apartment complex legally had to put both of our names on the check (with a comma that this credit union claimed was a slash). My roommate signed the check and everything, but they refused to deposit it unless we had a joint account. They wouldn't even deposit it to my account if he had come there and signed it in person. What is a person with multiple

The professionalism and eagerness to help demonstrated by the staff at this office is commendable. Mr. Perry Craig's attitude towards finding a solution to the reason for my visit was by far one of the best experiences I've had in a financial institution.
Quick and to the point.
THANK YOU.

Please find another place to put your money. I'm new to the area and went to this location to open a personal as well as business account. However I was quickly turned off by the poor service and racist behavior from the staff. The banker (a female who appeared to may have been bi-racial or hispanic) heard me say to the greeter I would like to open an account. She sat in her office (not helping any other customers) for ten mins staring at me off and on before she decided to come out. Then she comes over with a clipboard telling me they do "credit checks" to open an account. I told her that's normal

I have had my money in DEXSTA for over 20 years, which they have had the use of and nave paid me essentially 0 interest. Just got charged for a $5.00 withdrawal inactivity fee for the very first time. I guess they're leading the charge in "negative interest" - stealing your money for simply letting them use it. I'm about to have a major 'withdrawal activity" and remove my money from DEXSTA.

Essentially these guys steal money out of account, then hit you with minimum balance fee. So, even if you never overdraw, or really use the money, they will hit you by hook or crook. Shady shady shady. Along with the theft, you get the added benefit of the slowest possible tellers in the free world. WOW! Didn't know it was possible for human beings to move that slowly.

I've always had accounts with credit unions and I realize that they are not usually as "up-to-date" with technology or as accesible as a larger bank, however, Dexsta really pushes the limit. I have an auto loan with them and the only way to make the payment is in the branch, in cash. It is incredibly inconvenient. I have asked if there is another way to make my payment, mailing a check, online banking, etc and there is none. They do have an online banking system but I have to "apply" in person, at the branch, and can only make payments through online banking if I have a

Its extremely unfortunate to see how unethical financial institutions are now a days knowing that their reputation is always on the line being the internet is so prevalent. We tried paying off a vehicle that we had financed through Dexsta. We sent a check in and Mike Riley, a sorry excuse for a "loan manager" told us that he would have to wait 10 BUSINESS DAYS after our check had cleared to send the title that we should now "lawfully own." Also, considering they have already made a TON of money off me financing me, they then told me they "snail mail" the titles because

DEXSTA took over the Delaware Federal Credit Union on Aug.1, 2014. I never had any problems or difficulty with the latter institution over many years. Immediately, DEXSTA deposited my check in the wrong account, thus causing overdrafts and charging me overdraft fees. I went to the bank and this was straightened out and fees were cancelled. At the end of August, my credit card payment was drawn from my savings account instead of my checking, which had sufficient funds. The nice woman on the phone said, "this is a first" and she didn't know why it happened and will call me back tomorrow

I recently moved to Wilmington, and in setting up the household, I went to Dexsta to join as I have been a longtime supporter of credit unions because of their usually high level of customer service. I didn't find that here. They told me I couldn't open an account unless I had two forms of proof that I was a resident. Even though I own a home in Wilmington, I hadn't yet set up accounts with the local address on them except the deed, which isn't really proof of residency.

The person who greeted me explained that the credit union charter requires the proof. I understood that
