Services
Silver Springs Care Center's contract with the Veterans Administration allows us to serve our veterans, especially those utilizing service-connected benefits, for a short term rehabilitation or long term care stay including with behavioral health and substance use treatment programs.
We hold a weekly Veterans Group for residents who have served in the Armed Forces and the facility is working within the community to increase socialization and quality of life for our veterans.Case Managers from the Veteran's Administration in West Haven, CT visit and follow our residents to assist with appropriate services and day programming.

Silver Springs is a Greater Hartford Memory Care Center. At GHMCC, our dementia care team guides and supports you and your family members as they transition to our centers. Upon admission to our program, residents' specific needs and lifestyle patterns are identified and addressed through the assessment and individual care planning process.
Silver Springs Care Center's Behavioral Program is a well developed, thoughtful, professional and proven approach to caring for residents with behavioral health needs. The program consists of teaching, coaching and improving the lives of the residents through education, patience and guidance. Safety and security are carefully considered and assured while respecting the dignity and rights of our residents.
Respite Care provides caregivers a temporary break, or time of relief, from their care giving duties. It is ideal for family caregivers in need of a break for vacation or other travel or for loved ones needing assistance in recovering from a health circumstance or life transition. Respite Care also serves to provide a break from the constant physical and emotional stress of caring for a person with 24/7 needs.
At Silver Springs Care Center, our social services department works with residents, families and community agencies to facilitate a positive adjustment to the life at the facility and prepare for services at the next site of care, ideally re-entry into the community and living at home. Upon discharge follow up phone calls are made for 90 days to ensure successful community re-entry.

I'm currently here for IV antibiotics and wound vac I would not recommend this place to anyone. staff never seems to have an answer for me and the most common answer is I don't know followed by blank stare until you walk away. They're not prepared for me when I got here they didn't have my medication or my wound vac. Everything seemed to be a hassle to the staff when asked about it. The supervisor when I first got here was aggressive and rude and actually told me to go somewheres else.Do not go here. The facility itself looks like the slums of all Care centers. It’s too bad that you can’t rate each area of the facility separately. They had a couple of good medication nurses who went out of their way do the patients. But unfortunately when those nurses had much earned vacation time or days off many of the people filling in for them were lazy and rude. I have to say that it is nice to be able to have your clothes cleaned for yo right after you take them off each night. But it’s NOT nice when your clothes come back destroyed. My agency coordinates private duty staffing for a resident at Silver Springs. Julie and Emily are easy to work with and always give feedback that enables our agency to staff appropriately. Facility staff and nurses always keep us informed on concerns or improvements that could be made to provide the best possible care for our mutual client. When visiting the facility, I always receive a warm welcome. Facility is clean and staff is always willing to answer questions.

Silver Springs Care Center is dedicated to taking great care of each individual resident. All of the staff: recreation, social work, nursing, dietary, administration, and housekeeping, work tirelessly to promote the health and well being of their residents. They work to enhance the quality of life of their patients. The nursing staff has strong clinical skills and does a great job of recognizing subtle health changes early to facilitate efficient care delivery and treatment by the providers. Their care is compassionate and unparalleled.

Silver Springs is outstanding! The staff is highly professional and very caring. My older brother has been at Silver Springs Care Center in Meriden for 7 months now and has greatly improved. They go above and beyond every day. They really treat the whole person. We appreciate all the communication. Any time I put out a call to the staff, I get a call right back. We live out of state and they are a true comfort to us. We couldn't be happier! We highly recommend Silver Springs Care Center in Meriden!

These people are murderers they physically abuse people who cannot defend their self I've seen abuse from these people they tied a man up in a hallway and abused him physically the man died a few days later tried to report to the lady administration she said it was his fault didnt even have records they are the worse people/facility ever

Know of a man who reports that he was terribly mistreated at this facility. Acute medical problems were not addressed.
This person very disabled.
No safe plan of care to home.
Staff member very rude as she threw his belongings into car of person who picked him up! Stay away from this facility for your love ones.
