Animal Hospital Of Walnut
I had a wonderful experience at the Animal Hospital of Walnut! I've never had a vet take so much care to make sure my kitty was comfortable and not scared. The staff was also friendly and nice to deal with! Love the doctors here, we had to put our precious Bella down and they were so kind and understanding of my kids!

I can't thank them enough on how they helped my kids understand that is was the best decision for Bella! I have a special needs dog. She gets stress seizures when she goes to the vet. The wonderful staff at Animal Hospital of Walnut understands this and accommodates us by treating her in the car or in their attached outside dog park.
Services
The bond between you and your pet is as powerful as any intimate relationship you experience. Your pet depends on you to maintain a healthy and enjoyable life. Dedicated and loyal pet owners turn to the Animal Hospital of Walnut for help with these important responsibilities.

The Animal Hospital of Walnut provides veterinary services throughout the Walnut Valley cities of Diamond Bar, La Puente, San Dimas, Phillips Ranch, West Covina, Pomona, La Puente, and beyond. This year must have been the most times a went to the vet. First a skunk bite and a chicken bone incident and now a broken foot.
Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them. Our belief is that clients and their pets should always be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. They are the core of our existence and will forever be our focus. Dr. Genevieve LeClair is excited to join the community and team at the Animal Hospital of Walnut.
I am the Head Receptionist here at Animal Hospital of Walnut. I have always been drawn to animals especially cats, everyone who knows me will tell you I'm the cat lady. So when I got the opportunity to be a part of Animal Hospital of Walnut, I was more than excited. I'm very passionate about animals, and love getting to meet so many different fur babies everyday and just getting to experience all their different personalities.
They saved my puppy's life. Our puppy was not properly taken care of by her negligent breeder. So we had to rush our yorkie here the morning after we purchased her because she literally went into a coma over night. Dr. Minzer has been my vet for years. Under his excellent care my Doxie lived to be 19 years old.
We know it can be hard to take a cat to a groomer, but our groomer can handle the needs of your cat with ease. Let us know which services you need and your pet is in good hands with our groomer. Not only is cleanliness important for your pet and your family but often while a groomer is thoroughly cutting and clipping hair, trimming nails and trimming ear areas he will spot something which might not be detected.

So thankful for all the care they gave my baby when I couldnt be there. She is still on the mens but without your love and dedication to what you do she would not still be fighting.

I left a message Monday morning about my cat, they explained it was a surgery day, and were able to get me in latter in the day. Very professional staff made me feel comfortable and really cared for my cat!

Thank you for always taking care of my girl, Zia. A few months she was hit by a car in a freak accident. I made the hour commute from where I live to Animal Hospital of Walnut because, after called 15 vets, they were the only one who asked thurough questions over the phone and made every effort to see her same day (even though they were booked). They took great care of Zia and eased my panic and concern from the incident. Ever since, I have made them my primary vet and it’s always a positive experience making the trip and see them, including a recent visit for Zia’s allergies. The vet is very

This place will take good care of your pet. They speak good english but their prices are a bit higher than some of the other local vets. Not a 24 hr hospital...

We were in a three hour wait at another Emergency Pet Care Clinic and a lady, Jenny, parked in the stall next to us, told us about Animal Hospital of Walnut and that she loved the veterinarian and staff and there was a very short wait. I found the address and we drove from Upland to Walnut and everything Jenny told us was 100% true. And, we got the rabies and annual injections for our cat, Binny, in addition to the antibiotics and care of a wound from another animal. The interns and Veterinarian were exceptional, professional, calm and extremely efficient. The bill was very, very fair. We drove

Been coming to this vet for years. My dog has been having allergies, so I brought him in 3 times for the same problem, yet every time after his visit, his symptoms never go away and the vet doesn't tell me what shots they gave him nor give me a receipt. If you love your pet, do not bring them here, as the workers here are extremely careless.

I have been coming to Animal Hospital of Walnut for years. One of my furry boys was just diagnosed with diabetes and had surgery for a torn ACL shortly thereafter. The technicians and Dr. LeClair have gone above and beyond to assist me in caring for Jake's multiple dosing problems and needs along with his surgery. I am extremely pleased. As a retired ICU nurse, I could be a hard person to impress, but the Animal Hospital of Walnut gives me the comfort and care I demand for my furry boys🐶🐶

I will start this by saying how grateful I am to have ever been given the opportunity to come to this hospital every day and get to know the staff there I was a former groomer and honestly loved every minute I was there I am writing this as a customer there though. They did spay my baby kitty hades.... honestly I wouldn't trust anyone else with my animals .... as someone who's been behind the scenes... that says a lot. Now it sucks for me because I'm far away and I just got a puppy. Totally worth the drive to me. Why? Because their hearts are in the right place when it comes down

Please DO NOT go here, if you need a vet in the area I would recommend you check out Walnut Valley Animal Hospital on Nogales St. which is only a couple miles from here. They are so much better than this place - it's night and day. This place is expensive and they do not care about your pet, just about your money.

I brought my Maltese in after he had been coughing nonstop. Dr. LeClair did some tests and performed an x-ray on him. They diagnosed him with pneumonia and prescribed us antibiotics. The total just for the tests and medicine was $900. Our guy got progressively worse over the next

My family had a 17 year old dog and we made the tough decision of putting her down this year, due to her living with multiple age-related problems (advanced periodontal disease, arthritis, dementia/loss of cognitive function, loss of vision/hearing, kidney dysfunction... just to name a few). Her quality of life was rapidly declining, and it hurt to see her live a life of pain and suffering.
We brought her to this clinic because it was the closest Animal Hospital in Walnut. The doctor (female - didn't get a name) who was in that day examined our dog for FIVE minutes before telling us that

I have been taking my animals to Animal Hospital of Walnut for thirty years and had nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Goldstein and his team, including all office staff, including Dr. Marjory who the last person that I was able to visibly see care for my beautiful Rottweiler, Duchess, last year.
Since this establishment has been taken over by Dr. Mintzer and his staff, there has been a notable change in the manner clients and their animals are treated. The staff attitude has become very impersonal. When my dog became sick in July she was started on doggy Ibuprofen, presumably for her arthritis

If you have an ANXIOUS/SENSITIVE dog, this is my experience and warning. I had set up a 5pm appointment for friday. I came in an hour early to fill out all paper work so I wouldn't have to keep my dog waiting for too long.. All I needed was a rabies booster shot. My dog is fine with other people and dogs, no agression issues, just easily stressed in vet/kennel conditions. So I wanted to make this trip and quick and easy for him as possible. We waited 30 MINUTES past our appointment to be seen. The exam was another 20 minutes and another 25 MINUTES AFTERWARDS waiting to pay the bill. My dog

My aging 13 year old shih tzu has recently started biting his groomer. The groomer cannot handle him anymore. I also dont want my dog to be stressed during grooming so I researched for IV sedation grooming and I found Animal Hospital of Walnut thru Yelp. Made an appt with them. Jessica was very accomodating over the phone. She Patiently answered all my questions. Dr. LeClair sounded very knowledgeable and caring. Upon examination, she decided to give my little guy oral sedation instead of IV sedation. She thinks "Tiki" wouldnt need IV sed. Also, vaccinated on the same day. She has

I would like to preface this review by saying we are grateful that Animal Hospital of Walnut has available appointments during this time and that this review is only pertaining to the grooming services provided. Under any other circumstances, this would be a zero or one star review.

We brought our dog in for grooming services at Animal Hospital of Walnut because our usual groomer was booked for three more weeks and had never been here before. Due to the current circumstances we had to call the hospital from our car and wait for them to come and retrieve our dog. This process took over 30 minutes

Animal Hospital of Walnut has always been expensive. The previous owner, Dr. Goldstein was my pets' vet, and he was good so it justified the above average expense. But after he retired, my experience with this business have changed from okay to the worst experience I ever have had. From the vet I used down to the staff, all I saw was $$ in their eyes; no care, no personal touch. The main reason I no longer go to Animal Hospital of Walnut was that I was charged nearly a thousand dollar and whatever they prescribed to my pet failed to work and they kept telling me to bring my pet back for

This is my first review ever. I was a client of Dr. Damon Goldstein of Animal Hospital of Walnut since 1981. The practice was purchased by Dr. Charles Mintzer upon Dr. Goldstein's retirement.
On July 15, 2019, I had a senior exam for my 9 year old pitbull, Maui, that included a blood test. She was examined by a veterinarian employed by Dr. Mintzer, who does not work out of the Walnut office. Dr. Mintzer has another practice. I received an email on July 18 that stated, "Dr. Mintzer reviewed Maui's blood test results and says that her blood work is okay for anesthesia to perform

Charles I cannot believe you are going to blatantly LIE to say that I said my dog was always nervous. I never said that to anyone, and yes you should always use a muzzle when clipping a large dogs nails, so if their feet are tender, you're not accidentally bitten. Furthermore, saying the doctor visited with my dog is another LIE, seriously if we want a written statement from another vet on my dogs demeanor I can accommodate you to prove what liar you are. I still would not recommend your facility to even put an animal to sleep for concern you would make it suffer you unaccountable, lack of

We were using another vet for 14 years but after one of our dogs passed away tragically and one of our other dogs started showing similar symptoms, we went to Animal Hospital of Walnut to get her checked out right away since our usual vet was away for a week. We are so happy we did. Dr. Colley is amazing. I've read other comments where they say they are trying to "up-sell" tests and products but so far, every test and product for us have been necessary. We wish we would have brought our other dog here because we are certain he would still be here with us today if we had. We are so

Since last review, lots has improved!! They now have an app to make communication and setting up appointments more convenient. For those not phone/app savvy, they can receive texts!

Not only that, we are seen right upon arrival and we have the best vet! Dr. Colley is gentle, helpful in all explanations, and answers all our questions. Our senior dog had to have immediate surgery and Dr. Colley was able to diagnose and respond quickly.

Also very appreciative of the complimentary post op appointments! Thank you Dr. Colley!!

Disappointed in their service, care and prices. Would suggest to go to another vet. I called because my dog was attacked by a coyote and unfortunately killed. I did not know what to do. In the MIDDLE of me telling my story the receptionist asked if she could put me on hold... Wow talk about insensitive!!! She then told me it would cost $58 to bring my dog there and $160 for cremation. The prices here are insanely high. I called other animal hospitals who quoted me $10-15 for bringing the dog and additional costs for cremation. Just the fact that they didn't offer any condolences and asked

Dr. Colley is the most kind hearted and caring veterinarian I've ever met. You can tell she truly loves what she does. She is knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner. Sandy and Marie are also amazing. They both are great supporting staff. They were so helpful and their willingness to answer all my silly questions was greatly appreciated. Thank you ladies for taking care of my baby Miley. We are forever grateful to be your patients.

WE have been going to AHoW since 1978, but since Dr Goldstein RETIRED, the facility has now become a "make as much money as you can" business. I talked to a former DR. who worked there, and they said the new owner pressures them to sell supplements, food, accessories, and even lab work. I had a bad experience last time I visited, and left very upset after they surgically removed my wallet. As for the groomer: AMY has left, the new groomer "Guy" is good, (not as awesome as Amy tbh) but I will continue to use him for grooming, but to be honest, unless they quit trying to bleed

Hmmmmmmm. I usually don't like redoing reviews but honesty this is something I can't ignore.

First of all, I'm only refraining from giving this place a one star because when my first dog passed away, the nurses were very kind and idk (read my first review)

Anyways we recently got another dog (3 weeks) and he started having a rash. We brought him in, to check his rash as well as get his required puppy shots, and was told that they would have to biopsy my dog and even place him under anesthesia. They told us that there were many reasons for the rash and that my puppy would have

HORRIBLE experience. Doctor ( Dr. Choi) was horrible, yelled at my husband, yelled at me over the phone and hung up on me. Nurses had to come in and tell the doctor he was yelling. The nursing staff was AMAZING, very apologetic, did everything they could to help us, to bad they have to work with an idiot Doctor.

Update: Dr. Choi did call and apologize for raising his voice with my husband. I do appreciate the apology but I will still take my business elsewhere and advise everyone I know to do the same.

I brought my pup Ratchet here because I noticed blood in his urine. The staff was absolutely amazing. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. The Dr. suggested X-Rays to check for any serious issues. He explained everything to me (what and why) and let me make all the decisions instead of just doing everything on his own and dropping the bill in my lap like most places would. I am very pleased with my visit.
Before we left, Ratchet was groomed. He absolutely loves Amy! He perks up when she comes in the room, it's adorable. She does an amazing job with him. They always go above and beyond
