New porch in Midtown. The existing deck was in poor condition and left little room for parking. We added the entry door to the new porch off of a landing within the stairwell located behind the tall cluster of windows.

The end of the year is the best time to look back and be thankful for things that went right during the past year. One of those we have to be grateful for is our new deck built by Bassett Construction. We are devout procrastinators so our original deck was in need of total replacement and after interviewing several contractors, we settled on Bassett Construction. Budget is always important so a little back and forth was needed to get the project on budget as we wanted to include building with a synthetic decking and railing system (by Trex).

Bassett Construction did an amazing job building our deck and screened-in porch. They handled getting the building permit, applying for a variance, designing the project, removing the old deck and construction. The design used Trex decking and rough cedar beams. The beams are massive eliminating the need for cross ties at the dealing. The carpentry team were very experienced and highly skilled. The result exceeded our expectations in every way.

Bassett Construction and Diego Fracasso are the BEST! I wish we could give them more than 5 stars. They built us a stunning sunroom, new TimberTech wrap-around deck and beautiful circular stairwell. They were on time, stayed on budget and provided unparalleled creativity and excellent quality. Throughout, they were completely trustworthy and responsive.

We used Bassett to build a back porch/deck, which was completed in April 2020. It is a large deck - 2 levels with one covered and screened, 2 car carport below, stairs to the garden, conversion of a large window to exterior door, and the roof of the covered section needed to be tied in to the existing roofline. We spoke with 4 companies and decided to go with Bassett, a decision we know was the right one now that it is complete. I cant' say how happy I am with this Bassett. This past spring, I began getting estimates to remove a 1960's deck and replace it with a screenroom/deck on my new home. As background, I am a DIYer and have done fairly extensive renovations myself on my rental houses so I have experience but not a pro.
