At co-evolution, we focus on enhancing people's lives both personally, professionally and organizationally. Our primary objective is Freedom which we define as having the complete ability to Choose! We use this box metaphor to offer a basic understanding of our work. Most people have heard or used the phrase that you just have to get out of your "box".

We have noticed that even if people can accomplish that difficult task, they often just create another box that will hopefully be bigger and better. For us, that is just another box that needs to be dealt with in some way.

While in nursing school and doing the psychiatric nursing rotation, my instructors introduced me to myself. Not that I hadn't engaged in self-examination or introspection before, but the methods and the help with knowing myself in a deeper way were new and so appreciated. At the time, I didn't know how much these nine weeks changed the course of my life.
I hear the word responsibility used over and over by people and I have learned to question how each person is defining what it means to be responsible. I think it might be helpful to also define the word liable since it is key to our experiences connected with being responsible. I've also noticed that the word Responsibility is used most often when something has gone wrong or there is a belief that something will go wrong.
This model is equally powerful for handling our own defense mechanisms. Many personal rules and beliefs as well as organizational policies come into existence through the Control Cycle. A simple example might be the first time someone gets rebuked by a supervisor. They assume all supervisors are punishing and create the "advice" to never tell a supervisor anything they don't want to hear.
Several years ago, I had a dream that awakened me at 3:30 am. I was in a classroom or meeting, and the person in charge kept telling me what I wasn't doing or wasn't doing right. I remember thinking, "JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT!" As I woke up, I heard a voice in my head which was a bit odd. It said, "That is the "Third Bridge" get up and write it down."
So much has been written about the importance of goals; how to create them; how to monitor them; how to accomplish them; and on and on and on! When I decided to write this, I went online to see what is out there. I found so many ideas and viewpoints in the images connected to goals. It seems that it all starts with a dream to accomplish something or have something or get rid of something.
