Services
NYC podiatrist Dr. Emanuel Sergi takes a personalized and caring approach to functional and cosmetic foot surgery. Dr. Sergi performs a variety of podiatric treatments to correct troublesome foot and ankle issues, including bunions, hammertoes, painful corns, calluses, and plantar fasciitis, among others.
The doctors at City Footcare are experts in podiatric surgery. We specialize in corrective and cosmetic foot surgery for bunions, hammertoes, arthritis, joint fusions, corns, calluses, joint problems, bone spurs and all other foot surgery. Dr. Lawrence Silverberg started City Footcare in 2000 and combined practices with Dr. Sergi in 2017.
Sometimes, surgery is the only way to alleviate some foot problems. Other times, more conservative treatment is able to resolve the problem. When conservative treatment fails, there are also some minimally invasive procedures that we can do in order to prevent the need for surgery. Two of these alternatives to surgery include: PRP injections and Amniotic Allograft injections.

I went in with my father who has an aversion to doctors. He had an open wound that was not healing. Dr. Silverberg was very patient and explained the treatment. My father's wound was healed within three visits. Another one developed but that's a different story. Dr. Silverberg gave us options and made himself available to answer questions. Highly recommended.

I went to see Dr Silverberg to follow up on pain that I was having from a scar one of his colleagues did and Dr Sergi was the one at the visit. Then he said let's get an MRI and we will call you back. I called back three times he never called me. I am going to another Dr. stay away from this office they don't want to clean up their messes. I'm in constant foot pain on my left foot and since this is happening now I have to have right foot pain surgery because I have was so dependent upon my right foot.
You should be ashamed of your office. Office staff amazing. Drs definitely not

He and Dr. Sergi are the bomb! I had two neuromas, same foot. (it was thought that I had only one, they found the second one, they were thorough. Sent me to an MRI office that specializes in sports type injuries and in finding these things) nothing helped. Not orthotics not shots, nothing! I used to love to walk and now every time I had to stand up I braced myself for pain. I was scared to death of surgery. Both doctors talked me through everything, as I sat there and cried. Went for the radiofrequency ablation treatments. I would say I'm 100% better on the one neuroma and 90% better on

I just have to say that Dr. Silverberg and Dr. Sergi are compassionate surgeons. Being in pain they were gentle. They explain every detail to you. I totally trust there diagnosis. If you are looking for a podiatrist look no further they are the best.. I am from out of town and Corinne booked me an appointment right away she is a sweet receptionist. I had some concerns Dr. Sergi called and reassured me it doesn't get better than that.

Dr. Silverberg is amazing. Him and his staff are so kind and helpful. I had tailors bunion and hammertoe surgery, and they could not make it easier. He explained everything in full detail what he would be doing, surgery, recovery, everything. It was such a seamless, and painless surgery. I just got the last step (screw removal), another painless process. The staff could not be more accommodating with appointments. Everything turned out great. I have nothing negative to say about this doctor or the staff whatsoever. if you need a procedure done, I fully recommend!

I used to go running multiple times per week (and run more than 6 miles each time), however I've been unable to run for the last two plus years due to my Morton's Foot Neuroma. A month ago, I got the procedure from Dr. Silverberg, and while I still haven't gone running yet, my foot is feeling much better than before (I was even able to go skiing last weekend). Everything Dr. Silverberg has told me with regards to recovery time has so far been on point. Here's to hoping that I'll be running again shortly.

Dr. Silverberg, you definitely would recognize my name but I am not putting my last name on yelp for my own privacy. You did not tell me that the side effects could include; puncturing an artery, losing feeling forever in my feet, because of having reynauds (which you should have asked FIRST before even proposing such a procedure) my nerves can not handle severe hot and cold, so this procedure ruined my foot. It still even hurts to wear sneakers! I couldn't walk for months, it was terrible. Had I known the possible complications I would never had done this procedure. No real podiatrist would

My very first time going to a podiatrist, and it was awesome. The front desk staff are all super nice and professional. Arrived for my 2:45pm appointment, and was back in my office by 3:30pm! The office is clean and welcoming. Dr. Shtarkman was very nice, explained everything to me, and I truly feel like she examined me thoroughly. I highly recommend them.

I waited awhile to write a review for Dr. Silverberg as I wanted to see how my foot healed after surgery. I got a bunionectomy on my left foot with Dr. Silverberg in February 2015.
I didn't seek a second opinion, and decided to see Dr. Silverberg based upon his positive Yelp reviews. I can personally say that I was terrified to get surgery, worried that healing would be unsuccessful, but Dr. Silverberg is cool as a cucumber. He really knows what he is doing, backwards and forwards. He has an incredibly calm energy. Exactly what you would want / expect from any surgeon.

Dr. Silverberg & Dr. Lupoli changed my life. No joke. An AMAZING team. Their care and dedication really helped. I went to three different doctors before finding Dr. Silverberg and his team on Yelp. I was having horrible pain in my left foot, and it's amazing how humbling it is to experience such chronic pain, how it changes your life. I felt awful and wasn't sure if it was early onset arthritis. I am a healthy and active young adult so my pain was confusing. They were able to diagnose it right away as NOT being early onset arthritis, but instead it was a damaged joint in my large

My pick for New York's Best Doctors LIst.
Dr. Silverberg is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He easily explained the cause of the problem and prescribed non surgery solutions which are working.
He runs his office in the most professional manner--always on time for appointments yet never rushes you out.

Excellent,
I made an appointment online and for reason didn't show on their system. But they did ask the doctor and he was very kind to see me any way.
Very clean practice. Friendly staff and most important Dr. Silverberg was very patient and professional.
Although my problem wasn't that serious I definitely recommend him.

Thanks to a previous review of Dr. Silverberg I was compelled to make an appointment to deal with the ever growing ever painful juvenile bunions I have had since, well, forever. My foot had been progressively getting worse and more painful over the past four years so I decided surgery was inevitable if I wanted to continue walking. As a young active female runner my feet are a huge deal for me and so is being able to wear high heels again!
My first appointment with Doctor Silverberg was the best Doctor experience I have ever had. He was very confident in the most accessible and friendly way, so

Like another Yelp-er, I had a stubborn neuroma, and had tried everything from orthotics to alcohol shots to cryosurgery to kill the "monster" living in my foot. The beast refused to die.
That was until Dr. Silverberg and his radio frequency machine. The in-office surgery was completely painless and there was virtually no "down time", short of having to take it easy for two or three days.
There isn't too much more I can add to the other rave reviews. However, I will mention that for whatever reason radio-frequency surgery is not covered by my insurance, so I had to pay

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Silverberg who operated on me in early November. I had bunion surgery and had very limited pain (did not even take Tylenol) and 5 weeks later -- as he promised -- I was back in my regular (flat) shoes. It is 4 months since the surgery, my foot looks fantastic, I have had no pain and no swelling, am back doing all my normal routines and exercise and can walk as long as I want to with no consideration to whether I will have a problem with my foot.
I recommend Dr. Silverberg unequivocally, he is a great surgeon, told me exactly what to expect and a very

Look no further if you have Morton's neuroma.
For many years I had a "pinched" nerve in both my feet.
I have gone through so many treatments in the past. I have tried everything from cortisone shots, to oral medicine, to holistic approach. Nothing has worked.
Recently I changed my job and I been on my feet more frequently and the pain had gotten worse.
I did my research and I found Dr. Silverberg.
He was one out of 20 candidate in NYC I have chose to get in contact with.
What caught my eye with Dr. Silverberg was his perceptiveness for detail for my problem.

I found Dr. Silverberg through a search on Yelp and decided to go b/c of all the great reviews. What they said was all very much true. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I was nervous b/c I'd never seen a podiatrist before, but Dr. Silverberg was incredibly knowledgeable and very nice. Not that I'd ever wish for foot issues again, but if so, I would absolutely go back to him without a doubt

I'm usually not the person to write super-positive reviews as I am more of a glass half-full person, but I am compelled to write a glowing review for one reason alone: the service was superb.
I had a lot of foot pain for about four months and had been misdiagnosed by another practitioner. Dr. Silverberg was able to correctly diagnose the problem and get me on a course of treatment that should have me walking pain-free -- and without the aid of a brace -- in a few months.
He fit me with a brace that has allowed me to walk properly again, and soon -- hopefully -- I'll be able to return
