Many have contributed to the rich history of Walkup Company, but it was Bill Edward Walkup who founded Walkup Company in 1944. One might say the roots of the business reach even deeper into history as it was Bill's Father, Charles, who had first opened Walkup Brother's Tin Shop in Waco in 1915. Upon the death of his father in 1927, Bill became the owner of the Tin Shop at the age of 22.

Walkup Company provides best in class laser cutting services throughout Houston and the Gulf Coast Region. Walkup Company's laser cutting technology allows parts to be cut quickly and accurately. Our Bystronic Lasers can cut sheet metal and plate of up to 3/4 thick in carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and various exotic metals.
Walkup Company provides precision plate bending and sheet metal bending and shearing to the Gulf Coast and Houston area. Often, our metal bending ability is used to bend material to save customers unnecessary expenses and secondary operational needs such as welding. Since our Houston metal bending and shearing facility is equipped with a large library of tooling and a high press brake capacity, customer requirements are rarely an issue.
Walkup Company has provided the Gulf Coast and Houston area with quality metal plate rolling for cylinders, cans, cones, arcs, and other rolled shapes in various sizes, thicknesses, and materials. With multiple plate rolling machines in-house, projects that require 16 gauge to 1/2 thick material up to 8' in length are achievable.
