Western Metal Service Inc. was established in 1988 by renowned fabrication specialist David Scheibel. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive fabrication company in the Southern California area that could respond to the growing demand for custom fabricated steel, stainless, and aluminum products, David Scheibel started Western Metal Service, Inc. inside his home.
Western Metal Service has one of the largest laser cutting tables of a single service location in Southern California. Western Metal Service's laser has a 13' x 48' table. It will cut up to 1" thick carbon steel, 3/8" thick stainless steel, and 1/4" thick aluminum. Our automated laser capacity allows us to cut 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Western Metal Service has a twin head high speed 260 amp CNC plasma cutting and drilling machine. Western Metal Service's plasma has two 10' x 25' tables. It will cut up to 2 thick carbon steel. The plasma bridge also has dual oxy-fuel torches, giving us the ability to flame cut up to 6 plate. During both of these processes we have the ability to drill up to 1 diameter holes for your tight-tolerance requirements.
Western Metal Service has invested in new equipment to increase saw cutting capacity and capabilities. Western Metal Service has two CNC controlled horizontal Hem Saws that cut up to 20" x 30". We have the capacity to cut any of your structural and ornamental requirements. We also have vertical band saws for more complex cutting geometry.
Western Metal Service has an experienced team of welders who are proficient in a variety of welding processes. Western Metal Service's welders are highly skilled and ready to support your manufacturing needs. We specialize in MIG and TIG welding. We have 16 manual welding cells, and can handle parts up to 65' long and up to 40,000 lbs.
