Acne, the most common skin condition in the United States, can affect any age or gender but is most often seen in teenagers and young adults. Acne does not have an exact cause but is commonly associated with a family history of acne. There are many misunderstandings about what causes and what treats acne, and many of these misunderstandings lead to late intervention which can result in permanent acne scars.
Eczema is a medical condition that involves itchy patches of skin becoming irritated and resulting in things such as redness, bloodiness, and/or crustiness on and surrounding the patches. It has no clear external cause but can sometimes be related to a family history of the condition or other medical conditions such as hay fever, sinus allergies, or asthma.
Hair loss can be unfortunate, but it does not have to be permanent. Hereditary hair loss or thinning can occur in both men and women who are genetically predisposed to such a trait, and will usually begin occurring during puberty and continue gradually for years. There are specific patterns to look for relating to hair loss.

The main cause frown lines and crow's feet is the repeated use of facial muscles over time. The contraction of these muscles cause the facial skin to fold and furrow, leading to the appearance of wrinkles as you age.

I went to Dr. Hickham’s office for a procedure and was pleasantly greeted upon entering the office. My procedure was done very professionally and Dr. Hickham kept me informed of everything that she was going to do before she did it. I felt very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Hickham and her staff for any skin issues you have.

Dr Hickham is by far the best dermatologist that I have ever had the pleasure of going to. After a very unpleasant and disturbing experience with another dermatologist who is well known in New Orleans, I can not recommend Dr Hickham enough to friends and family. Her compassion towards her patients is palpable as she talks you through every step of her examination and treatment. Dr Hickman injected me with cortisone while I was pregnant without discussing potential risks or side effects. My baby was fine, but I did end up having a dent in my face where the shot was administered which wasn't mentioned as a possible risk. I was under the impression that the charge for this procedure would be dropped, but it kept appearing on the bill. I reached out.a few times to discuss the charge but never heard back from anyone and instead got a bill from a collections agency. Very unethical and would not recommend.
