Randy Valtinson is the Owner of Central Tax Service. He has experience with individual as well as all types of business tax returns. Randy is an IRS Enrolled agent and has numerous years of experience preparing taxes at both a CPA firm and at a nationwide tax firm. In addition to being an IRS Enrolled Agent, he holds a Minnesota Life and Health Insurance license as well as a Real Estate License.
Our staff are IRS Enrolled Agents and are qualified to represent you or your company at an IRS audit or Minnesota Revenue audit. Randy is a licensed Real Estate Agent in the state of Minnesota and can provide advice concerning the real estate market or your rental property or tax advice relating to your current or future real estate.
Q: How much do you charge? A: We are not the cheapest in town, but we have reasonable prices. We charge far less than most of the National chains. For individual returns, we start at $100 for a simple return. For a corporation, partnership, estate or trust, we charge a minimum fee of $360. We provide a very good product for the amount of the fee, but, if price is your main decider, you may find cheaper elsewhere.

Update: we went in early March, not at the end of tax season. Rude employees here. While waiting, I heard one of the employees badmouthing his customer saying "If I have another person like that I'll be a basket case before lunch". Our tax person was also rude to us as well, using jargon and belittling us. We won't return next year.

Disappointment service. They either don't know or they are indifferent to clients need. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have seen Randy, Helen and Steve. Steve may have had knowledge of the subject, but I think he may be losing it some of that now. I found Randy lacking or fall short of my expectation as a CPA. And Helen seems to be taking orders from Randy and doesn't seem to be able to make her own decisions as to how to serve her clients. I believe it is an essential to have a competent accountant to help navigate the tax rules; Central Tax S doesn't qualify as competent accountant firm

Top notch! I have been going to Central Tax Service for years and have been very happy with the high level of service provided. They are VERY efficient and keep me in the loop the whole time as to what they are doing and why, which is important to me. I have recommended them to friends and family and have heard nothing but positive things from them as well.

I've been using Central Tax Service for about 10 years now. Randy really knows his stuff. He tries different routes with my return to make sure I am getting the best refund. My taxes are a bit more complicated than the average person and the fees are excellent for the knowledge and service I receive. They send me updates on tax law changes and a worksheet for the appointment so I bring everything I need to get the best return.

These folks are AMAZING!!!! My husband started going herein 2006 after lousy advice somewhere else and they got him back on track. Then I started going here and brought my mom. My mom was expecting to pay in, instead they found all the mistakes of her pervious taxes and she received thousands back. Some of the most honest and knowledgable people out there. If you read a bad review about this place my guess it is from someone who hates taxes in general. Hate taxes not the tax people. These guys are as ligit as they come!

My 1hr appointment was with the owner of the company, Randy. I was excited to have my taxes done by someone instead of using the usual, Turbo Tax. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was hopeful. Long story short, he didn't know how to complete the form for adoption, he couldn't figure out some stock sales and he didn't finish my taxes within the hour. My mother went to Central Tax Service because other tax services did not do an accurate, thorough job! Central Tax has done an excellent job on my mother's tax forms as well as when she needed to redo one year, because TCF Bank did not report an IRA transfer.
It is a nice touch that Central Tax Service sends out an annual mailing reminding her what tax information is needed to complete her tax forms. They also send out other tax newsletters to let my mother know about tax law changes and updates. That is way cool!
