Shigoku translates to Ultimate, in Japanese. Shigoku oysters are grown on bag lines that are tied to a bouey and tumbled in the tide. The workout twice a day helps the oyster develop a deep cup and plump meat inside its shell. Strong brininess with a sweet finish and firm, plump texture. Kumamotos are prized by half-shell connoisseurs for their smooth texture and sweet fruity flavor.

Food quality was fair. Oysters were good, this is the only place on the peninsula that has a fresh shucked raw oyster. Clam chowder was also good. Crab roll was disappointing and really lacked any flavor. This and $85 for 2, still that wasn't what really caught our attention. I did not see anyone wash their hands one single time. From pouring drinks, shucking oysters, to serving prepared food, bussing tables, money transactions and a take out order, nothing. The hand sink behind the bar was covered with the display boards and other things rendering it useless.

The service and food here, even the atmosphere, was fantastic! Women owned so huge kudos as a fellow female! More than that though the seafood, of course the whole reason we were there, was exceptionally fresh and delicious! We had a smorgasbord of oysters on the half shell, the clam chowder, prawns, half a Dungeness crab, and each took an oyster shooter. We also tried a couple of the cocktails and they were equally delicious. We loved our experience here so much we all three purchased their ‘Salty Girl’ t-shirts.

Salty Girls has some of the most delicious seafood I've ever had. We were lucky enough to be here during Dungeness crab season, so we were able to try the crab melt. It was so flavorful and really highlighted the flavor and texture of the crab. We also had steamed Manila clams, and oyster shooter, kombucha on tap, and a salted chocolate chip cookie. One of the best things about this restaurant is that they source all of the seafood from local, sustainable farms. Thanks for all you do Salty Girls!

Visited this place on the way back from Hurricane Ridge to Seattle. Small busy place with great ambience located in Sequim, they have a good collection of seafood on their menu. I tried their Salty Steamers. Loved the taste, both the clams and mussels were very fresh, they didn't smell fishy. However, I found the place a bit expensive since portion sizes are not enough for a single person. The service wasn't great either. I ordered a side of bread which was never served, and the staff wasn't too responsive either. Not exactly a must-visit place, but worth a shot.

Cosy little spot with a good range of seafood dishes. There’s outdoor seating, which is great considering the whole COVID situation. Service was friendly enough and the food was decent. We ordered the clam chowder and mussels/clams dish. Added on oyster shooters which they forgot to bring out so we cancelled the order. Overall, I wouldn’t say it’s a must-visit but it’s not bad. Especially when you’re in town on a Monday and everything else is either closed or not great. Lol
