Services
I have been choosing Tendy's for Chinese food on the Peninsula for at least six years; their food is fresh, flavorful, and fast. Every dish is constructed with care from obviously quality ingredients, from the roasted orange peel in the orange chicken, to the meticulously cleaned prawns and perfectly candied nuts in the Honey-Walnut prawns.
Our signature appetizer, wok seared, minced chicken, green onions & water chestnuts, served over crispy rice sticks with a crisp lettuce cup. Wok fried Japanese noodle with mushrooms, cabbage and green onions in a superior soy sauce. Diced fresh tofu sauteed with minced garlic and green onion in a dedicated Szechuan hot bean sauce.

Very nice people. Very careful in taking my order. We ordered 16 things off the menu, it took 30 minutes for pickup and it was yummy. Their sweet and sour wasn’t my favorite but everything else was good. Chow mein noodles were yummy. Egg foo yung was perfect… wok fried green beans are the best, fried rice was perfect too.

Worst meal I've had in awhile. I've eaten here before many times with no problems but not sure what they just served me. Sesame chicken was cut into small slices and the meat was super tough to chew. I'm not sure it was even chicken. If you are going to raise your prices you need to offer quality food. I will not eat here again. Better options in the area. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

CHRISTMAS EVE REVIEW: We usually don't dine around the holidays, but we were driving back to Seattle and hunger started to set in at around 4pm. Tendy's seemed like a reliable place to be open on Christmas eve, but apparently the entirety of Port Angeles had the same idea. We walked in and saw 10 people waiting for their takeout orders, only 2 people handling the entire front of house, and I would assume no more than 3-4 people in the kitchen. We were seated and couldn't stop observing the phone constantly ringing, multiple bags of food being prepared for each family's takeout

Really disappointed with our experience all around. The woman in the phone was rude when we asked her to read the order back to us, which she had wrong and we corrected it only to find out it was still wrong when we went to pick up the food. The food we did get was real bad. Won Ton soup was the best thing we got and we didn't even order it (we ordered hot and sour soup) the honey walnut prawn were totally disgusting they tasted like they were covered in Big Mac sauce. It was stomach churning. The fried rice was bland and the veggies in it were freezer burned and the spring rolls were meh

So far everything we've tried is yummy, but special mention to the scallion pancakes. The scallion pancakes are the best I have tasted! Definitely a hidden gem on the menu, you won't be disappointed.
My favorite so far is the Mongolian chicken. Very gingery and a little spicy, perfect for a cold rainy day.
The hot and sour soup is another favorite, a perfect leftover to heat up for breakfast on a cold morning.

Ok so I love there food but here's the thing, I love this one dish called nine flavors chicken it's breaded deep fried chicken chunks wok tossed in peanut and coconut oil like it says on the menu buuuut, they totally skimp on the meat and if it's deep fried they serve parts of the chicken that you would cut off and generally not eat like corners that are hard discolored etc, also my most recent order had this many chunks of just deep fried breading in it when I ate half the order I bought, Jesus what are you trying to pull here?! No big deal huh no not at all, I think I'll go elsewhere... Bummer

My wife and I get Tendy's alot. Their prices have gone up (like everywhere) but the food quality has also gone up. It's one of the best (if not the best) Chinese restaurants on the peninsula. Unfortunately my last visit didn't go well. After picking up dinner for 4 people, once I got home I noticed items were missing. I had to return to do a second pickup and these items were cold as obviously they were cooked at the same time as original items but not put in bag or kept warm. Finally, an hour and a half later, I had to eat a cold dinner. This is the first time this has happened and I was disappointed

They did not include utensils, after specifically being told they were in the sealed bag. After that, I discovered they gave me the wrong entree. They could not make it correct because it was closing, and then offered me a PARTIAL refund. Not even a full refund for the erroneous dish. I am so disappointed I spent $35 for chow mein and a beef dish, that required two go-backs, no correction, and a $15 refund on a $20 dish.

This part of the country is very rural where pizza, burgers, steaks and pasta are standard fare. But open a Chinese restaurant and you are sure to be a success. Such is the case for Tendy 's which boasts that it was voted as having the best Chinese food every year since 2004! On our way home from Olympic National Park we stopped in for dinner on a Sunday night. It was wild. We dined in (dining room was full but socially distanced) but the take out orders were through the roof. We watched as the phone was constantly busy with calls for new orders and a long line of people was queued to pick

This place has very bad service and the phone was ringing off the hook on Monday for takeout - we were one of the only tables to dine in and our entrees took over an hour to arrive. Mo one checked our table, had to ask for more water and napkins --- the folks working were frantic and haphazard. We had to ask for the managers attention just to get our check to leave after waiting another 30 minutes. If you want food here you had better get takeout!!!!!
Food was Salty but decent. I recommend tte hit & sour soup and egg foo young. I would truly rather drive a distance to Fortune Star in Sequim

I was in Port Angeles for vacation and made a stop at Tendy's Garden. They only do take-out when I was there, so make sure to call ahead.
It's a decent Chinese (mostly Chinese-American) food. I ordered the Buddhist Delight and General Tso's Chicken. Buddhist Delight was more oily than I would like, but still nice flavor. Lots of breading on the chicken in the General Tso's dish, but it still tasted good.
Overall, if you need a Chinese food fix and you're in Port Angeles, definitely give this a try.

Two of three meals fine. Third - Hong Kong Chow Mein was nothing more than old, cold, stale glued together ramen noodle clump set on top of filling. Worse when we asked for a refund first we got the don't understand bull, then the bring the food back bull, followed by bring the receipt back bull - that last is in their online order system, just as it is at our restaurant. One bad meal and extraordinary bad service.

How have I not reviewed Tendy's before?! They offer THE BEST Chinese food in Clallam County! Takeout lines for this place are out the door on weekends - you know that's a good sign because people line up for this delicious fare.
You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu here. I especially love their soups - I don't know how they do it but we've been enjoying their seafood soup for over a decade and keep coming back for more.
If you are looking for something healthy, try some of their fresh cooked greens. If you love chow fun like I do, don't pass on the shrimp chow

Tendy's is absolutely delicious! I really appreciated the depth of flavor in the dishes. The food tastes like the cooks use spices which adds more dimension. I find that at most Chinese places unless designated Szechuan lack this complexity and taste just sweet or salty. This isn't the case with Tendy's. Tendy's is some of the best Chinese food I've had in WA state, possibly some of the best I've ever had when I've gone to other places that focus on the staple Chinese American food dishes. We had general tso's chicken, Buddhist delight, hot and sour soup

My wife and I were visiting the Lake Crescent Lodge in the Olympic National Park recently. We decided to drive over to Port Angeles to pick up something more interesting than burgers or chicken.
We happened on Tendy's by chance but we are SO glad we did.
That first night (we went back two days later) we bought two of their dinner specials: Nine Flavors Chicken and Basil Chicken (Taiwan Style). We got them as combo so they came with soup and potstickers. We both got Wonton soup.
Let me say this in one word: WOW.
This is the best spiced, best tasting Chinese food we've ever eaten. Anywhere

I would give them zero stars if I could. I went in to order a combo dinner and they gave me the dish I asked them to replace with chow mien. When I called back to tell them of their error they told me they would remake my order at my cost and I told them no, they would pay for their mistake they put the phone down and started taking orders while I sat on the phone then hung up on me. Rude, unhelpful and unwilling to fix their mistakes and most of all unkind. I will not be returning or recommending.

Very delicious, fresh veggies and really flavorful and fragrant dishes. Took out some food the other day including Buddha's Delight, Eggplant in brown sauce and Mongolian Beef, plus the red been balls, which were really really yummy. Need to work my way around the menu some more, but so far, I'm a big fan. Place was very busy and they still got my order out hot, fresh and fast. Will definitely return.

Tendy's salt and pepper squid is my favorite! It is squid (pineapple cut) dipped in cornstarch and quick fried with jalapenos, green onions, and other tasty things. See photo. The food is overall pretty good; veggies are fresh and come cooked tender and flavorful. Basil fried rice and lettuce wraps are tasty here too.
Tables and chairs could do with an update--kinda sticky, wobbly, nowhere-to-put-your-feet seating arrangements. Decor is on the shabby side. But I don't really mind. I find myself going back over and over for that salty, spicy good food.
