Psychiatric and Mental Health Hospital for Children, Adolescents, and Adults in Philadelphia. There were a lot of group sessions and anything I needed they did their best to help me with. At a time in my life when I really needed help, I am grateful that I had a team available to me that was willing and capable.

Spent some time in 3 South two months before Covid broke out. Some of the staff cared. There was absolutely no therapeutic counseling.
The most that any groups would amount to was either unarranged music circles or students from Penn doing their best to engage with questions.
There's probably good people here, but if you're in the suicide squad, you're gonna be treated with the bare minimum to meet their quotas.

I have seen prison inmates get treated better than the way some of the staff that work at this facility treat patients. I was on a unit and a patient was having a psychotic episode and the techs were laughing at the patient as if that is something to laugh at and joke about. The doctors will keep you against your will to get the biggest payout from your insurance. They said they would discharge me but at the last minute the psychiatrist told me I’d have to stay another week for no particular reason at all I was well behaved was there for 14 days. Why keep me another 7? The food is disgusting

Never under any circumstances go here. Cockroaches in the bathroom and rats in the wall. Staff lies to paitents and family. They'll sedate you with medication if they can. Staff are too lazy to try to break up fights and would just give the people fighting injections to sedate them. Staff called paitents names and made fun of them. Windows have film over them so you cant see outside. Very very dirty. Lobby and exterior look nice but don't be fooled. Absolutely zero therapy. They just have paitents sit in front of the tv all day and if you're lucky you can color for 30 minutes (their "unique therapy

Since I didn't get the answers I needed on the phone, can the owner please explain how did two little girls jump my child while currently being in your care? How is it that it was brought to staff's attention that these little girls had a plan put in place to jump my child? I am not one to put my business out there but this facility gave me no choice. Although bed was available for my child I decided to let her go to Belmont for treatment because I am struggling with her mental health. These people were suppose to protect her from harm and failed completely. I struggle with my child but she isn

Absolutely a rough stay. There were some very nice staff but some were absolutely terrible. Patients were decent, we even had a talent show! But staff subduded us constantly with drugs and made most of us walking zombies to make us easier to deal with. Doctors were never available and hard to talk to. Constantly adjusting meds without telling me, little to no edible food, only recreational therapy and put on one to ones with no reason. Don't go here, it won't help.

Employees do not care at all. They will deny family from dropping off clothes & yell at them for it (despite the family just following the guidelines, the employee did not want to bring the patient her clothes so instead got hostile. Parent had to drive back another two hours the next day to do the same thing and they took the clothes). They will also give night time medication during the day to make patients drowsy. Food is bad. Took two days to get patient put on the meal plan list too. All around awful environment that makes mental health worse rather than better.

The staff was rude and disrespectful. They would tell other staff and patients other patients problems, male staff would point out females clothing and say it was “inappropriate” the place was always dirty they never cleaned the nutrition floor. When I got there, there was cereal in the sink and was still there by the time I left. They always relied on the needles and Benadryl to calm a patient down even if they just needed to talk things out. We were promised a individual therapist and I never got one in the almost two weeks I spent there.

This place is terrible. I went there signed and everything to go there for 3 days, then was told when i got there I’m gonna be there for two weeks. I got attacked multiple times and they did nothing about it. You know what they did? LAUGHED. They told one of the girls “ If your gonna fight her don’t wait just do it now “ It is extremely unprofessional and i was completely disrespected. Luckly i got myself out the 8th day i wouldn’t send your kid there unless you want them traumatized. This was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life.

This place was helpful in some aspects, most of the staff was nice. Everything was fine until the day before I left after 3 weeks! I was on the phone and was attacked by another patient. She repeatedly hit me with the phone on my head. The staff didn’t know how to handle the situation. I was never sent out to see if I had a concussion. The girl who attacked me was not moved until the next day!! She walked right by me in the hall. I had to fight with them to give her a 1:1 so I would feel somewhat safe!! All in all I wouldn’t recommend this place.
