It’s hard to overstate our gratitude to Ciraco’s and the instructors. We were only in town for the summer, but they welcomed our new to karate son as one of their own and he immediately took to it, demanding to come to class everyday. The student leaders were so good at harnessing his energy and bringing out the best in him while serving as positive role models.
We’re so sad to be leaving Myrtle Beach and Ciraco’s, but looking forward to next summer.

Our oldest son has been at this dojo since he was 5 years old and he just competed in the 2021 AAU National Karate Championship and won 2 bronze medals and a gold medal making him a national champion in his 15 year old black belt division. All due to his hard work and the superior instruction he has received at Ciraco’s Okinawan Karate and Kobudo. I can with great confidence tell anyone reading this review that this is one of the top karate schools in the Southeast. I have my 13 yr old son and my 6 yr old daughter in Ciracos. Shihan Mike and Sensai Josh are wonderful teachers. They are the best on the beach. My kids and myself have become and are still becoming better people. I highly recommend them. Prices are very good in comparison and you are guaranteed the best teaching.

My daughter started at Ciraco’s about 6 months ago, right after she turned 4. In that short time, I have seen her confidence growing substantially and she even behaves better at home!
Both instructors, Mike and Josh clearly love what they do and it shines through in all their students. Students under their instruction go on to be Incredible competitors and athletes. There are several Black Belt students that help with the younger kids, and they are fantastic with them as well! We love Ciracos and look forward to signing up our other children when they are old enough!

We started this journey by going to a Saturday “stranger danger” class. Everybody wants their children prepared or aware of the dangers in our world right? Whoa! Did we walk into something we didn’t even know we needed! Not only is Our boy learning martial arts, he’s around a group of positive , caring,passionate,goal oriented, framily ( friends like family). This world isn’t nice sometimes and having him prepared mentally, physically and emotionally secure is the best feeling a parent could have. He has made friends that I believe will be lifetime friends. It’s not just about teachers

I started here in June 2020, being half Okinawan , I wanted to find a dojo that teaches traditional karate, my experience here was excellent from the start. My first question was am I to old to do this and Shihan Mike assured me I was not. I have learned so much here and everyone is so supportive, this is my Dojo family and I cannot express enough… how wonderful my experience here has been. I love my Dojo and love my Dojo family! My grandson who is 5 years old started Karate at Ciraco's Okinawan Karate & Kobudo. He is a pretty shy kid and was made to feel immediately comfortable and at ease. Not only do they teach the fundamentals of Karate but they incorporate lessons about character, bulling and sense of self into the class. He loved it and I was quite impressed. I foresee him being a student of Sensei Mikes for many years to come.

I am so impressed with the level of professionalism. My daughter took her 1st lesson and learned a lot for only 60 min of practice. She can't stop talking about how much she liked it and how she could do what she did when she is not a strong, physical type. It is what I hoped for, and we will be back!
