In 1989, Dr. John Jeppson graduated with his D.D.S. from the University of California at San Francisco and began practicing dentistry. But his interest in the field precedes that degree by many years. As a young teen, he spent untold hours alongside his family dentist observing and taking notes, learning about teeth, patient care, and clinical application.
When it comes to preventive care, we're perfectionists. In fact, you may be surprised to find that Dr. Jeppson does the actual hands-on cleaning work on your teeth. That's because he's determined to establish an excellent relationship with each patient, keeping a close eye on each individual's dental health.
When it comes to restorative care, we're conservationists. We work hard to maintain the health of your natural teeth, applying the appropriate procedures to restore function and esthetics where needed. We stay abreast of the latest techniques and treatments and inform you of the choices available, without pushing you to take unnecessary and costly steps.
As for cosmetic services, we're enthusiasts. In today's world, there's no reason to put up with cosmetic problems that are easily remedied. The good thing about him is he is not out to just get as much money out of you as he possibly can. He will suggest less expensive procedures if you ask. The bad thing about him is that he is really frightening. He refuses to acknowledge that each dental procedure has its benefits and risks associated with it. He will not tell you what the risks are even if you ask him. He will just tell you everything is safe, which is not true. When I confronted him with peer reviewed articles showing that fillings and crowns contain dangerous materials. He just said it was all BS.

Dr. Jeppson knows how we patients cringe when we hear that a crown or other procedure is necessary! He is careful to be sure you are relaxed and under no discomfort. My last crown was textbook--quick, smooth, and just as if nothing had been changed, the fit was that good. Like others, I hope to have him as a dentist for many more years. We started with him when he first took over his practice here, and have enjoyed many years in his care.

Dr Jeppson has a unique policy - if you are on time to your appointment and he is late he pays you! Every appointment I've had with him I have been taken in almost immediately, the work to be done was accomplished quickly and competently. He and his staff are friendly, and Dr Jeppson will explain everything before he does it so you know what he is doing. I hope that I can keep him as my dentist for many years!
