Our mission is to develop college-ready youth leaders whose lives are rooted in love, justice, resilience, emotional and physical well-being. Leadership High School is a small, public charter school that has been serving the diverse youth of San Francisco since 1997. Recognized throughout the country as a model, Leadership provides a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum and extensive leadership development in a small school setting.
At Leadership, high expectations are coupled with a supportive and personalized environment so that students are known well and are individually supported to meet the challenges of high school. Leadership students develop the skills needed to be successful in college, to lead their own lives, and to lead change in our community.

Leadership High School's promise is simple: prepare every student for success in college and adult life. The mission of Leadership High School is to to develop college-ready youth leaders whose lives are rooted in love, justice, resilience, emotional and physical well-being. All Leadership students take a rigorous college-preparatory program.
Family involvement and support in school activities directly affects the academic success of high school students. At Leadership, we value and encourage parent participation. There are many ways in which families engage with and contribute to LHS. Families attend Back to School Night and Family Meetings, chaperone field trips, and attend sporting events.
As a publicly funded institution and a non-profit, Leadership has legislated, financial, and ethical responsibilities to students and their families, to the staff, the Board of Trustees, and to the community at large. We are firm believers in continuous improvement and welcome feedback from all parts of our community.
Leadership promises every student and family-if you commit yourself and work hard, we will ensure that when you graduate, you are ready to succeed in college. Leadership has designed its program to ensure that all students graduate ready for college, life, and leadership. Our academic program is accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Leadership's core academic program is aligned to the eligibility requirements of California's universities and state colleges.

Fantastic public charter high school in San Francisco with a personal approach to learning. Every scholar has their own advisor and support network within the school. Teachers set high expectations for students, truly care about their success, and provide the mentorship they need.
LHS is focused on developing young "leaders whose lives are rooted in love, justice, resilience, emotional and physical well-being." You'll feel this from the moment you walk into the school - this isn't your typical test-orientated charter school.
