Services
When children and adolescents are suffering from behavioral health and mental illness, the treatment they receive to overcome these struggles must be tailored specifically to their age, environmental situation, and developmental ability. Therapeutic interventions that are used when treating children and adolescents must meet them where they are to address any psychological, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
To passionately teach effective skills that change children's lives and ultimately changes our future. Working together with families and community to give children a chance; a chance at success, a chance for the future. Perhaps the biggest determinant of whether your child needs help is whether his/her symptoms and behaviors are getting in the way of everyday routine.
Behaven Kids founders Janie and Roger Peterson are Nebraska Licensed Mental Health Therapists. They have helped children and families work through behavioral challenges for over 3 decades. Janie and Roger opened the first location of Behaven Kids in 2000. Leading up to forming their own company, the Petersons pursued joint careers in human services serving families and children.
Behaven Kids has developed a wide range of programming to meet the needs of youth and adolescents who struggle with behavioral or mental health concerns. Our programs are solely focused on the maximum development and the best outcome of each individual.

No matter what level of care we are providing at Behaven Kids, treatment is a personalized experience that is designed to meet the specific strengths, needs, and treatment goals of each individual.
Our programs and services are for anyone in a caregiving position who is struggling with the challenges of raising a child. Our programs focus on youth and adolescents who are struggling with any behavioral or mental health issue. We work to ensure complete mental wellness in the child/adolescent, and to teach parents/caregivers strategies to keep youth on track.

I have nothing bad to report. Sometimes our children just need to be with us. Since being

Always great in taking care of my children, amazing therapists with family sessions as well. They are professional and offer tools to help in addition to therapy and a day program. You truly get what you put into the programs.

I have court-documented joint legal custody of my daughter. My ex wife began taking my daughter to Behaven Kids for therapy without my knowledge. When I found out that my daughter was attending therapy, I called Behaven Kids and respectfully requested information regarding the therapy sessions. I specifically only asked for information regarding my daughter and made clear that anything about my ex wife could be redacted from the record.
I was told that they could not release any of my daughter's records because my daughter was not the patient. I asked them if they had seen, or spoken to my daughter
