Yuma was originally founded as Colorado City. It later assumed greater significance as thousands of opportunist Americans travelled south via Yuma to California to cash in on the 1849 gold rush. Packed with history and surrounded by nature, let's explore the best things to do in Yuma, Arizona.
The destructive floods of the past mean that most buildings here now only date back to the 1920's, but with the revitalization of this area, the history lives on.Discover what the North End has to offer with historic tours, or simply enjoy the shopping, dining and entertainment that can be found. No longer in operation, Yuma Territorial Prison is now a state historical park with quite the reputation.

So far the best stay we have had with doing the RV thing. They take care of everything from hooking you up with excellent RV washers (even did our Jeep Wrangler) to filling your propane. A lot of nice residents and cool people here. All very sharing and kind. We better be careful or might stay here forever, lol. Also the swimming pool (at 85 degrees) is awesome! Can go at certain times to do laps or cool down. If you are looking for a great resort, come and check it out! 5 stars 🌟 for sure and staying a month 💞👍😝😉💞💋

Avoid this place at all costs they will try to scam you out of your money. We had to contact our bank and consult with a lawyer. Jose and Marsha are also very discriminatory as well as unfriendly towards veterans.
My girlfriend and I are moving to Yuma mid-September due to my job transfer with the government and I also serve in the military. I had sent an inquiry to this RV park as my girlfriend and I currently live in our RV and we were looking for an annual RV space to rent.
Jose (manager) responded to my inquiry on Sept. 2nd 2021. I asked him if it was ok that my daughter, who I have 10

Not dog friendly. I was told the only place my dogs could relieve themselves was at the dog park. I was told to come to the office to obtain a key to the dog park. This was not mentioned when we arrived. I am a responsible dog owner. I always clean up after my dogs. I also have a partially paralyzed dog that could not make it that far to the dog park. We left two days early because of your policy.

This place looked nice, but we weren't allowed to say here because we only have a teardrop and they require you to have your own sewer. Staff was friendly enough but in the end we had to keep looking.
EDIT: Since the owner feels wronged by my 3-star rating, allow me to explain. I called Bonita Mesa before we arrived specifically to find out if they had any restrictions i.e. 55+ community, minimum nights stay required, etc. I was told by a gentleman on the phone that no, they didn't have any restrictions. So we headed over there.
When we went in to register we were told that we couldn't stay there

We stayed for 4 months Nov 2019 thru March 2020. We left for a month in Feb. I hope that during the off season they have a chance to repair the bathrooms that are in the park. Also the electrical hook ups for the RVs need updating or at least repaired, coax cables and phone lines are laying on the ground in between RV spots which is strange because the park doesn't offer either of these amenities. So why are the wires still there? The laundry is large and clean although the dryer vent terminations were painted shut, broken or just non existent which makes the outside of the building look trashy

Our favorite park in Yuma. Cleanest and most friendly place in town. Been coming here for 20 years and love it. Management and owners are tops and the amenities are outstanding! Do as much or as little as you want. Beautiful heated pool, hot tub, poker room, dances, dinners, quilting, billiards, horseshoes, darts, dance lessons, etc. so much more. Tree lined and roads in great conditions. Pet friendly and dog park right next store. Try it and you'll be like us and never leave.

I when we made the reservation we were told it would accommodate a 42 foot fifth wheel in one of their deluxe spots that's incorrect we had unload our motorcycles before we could back in the spots are tight there's barely enough room to park your car in between my RV in the next RV and they're overpriced

We love it here. The people here in this park are really wonderful. The staff is so courteous and friendly. They go out of there way to make sure that the park residents are happy. There is so much to do here that sometimes we feel busier now than we ever have been. The activities here are plentiful. We love the dances, dinners, shuffleboard, various classes, bowling and so much more. Oh did I mention the jam sessions? The music played at the jam sessions is wonderful. Thanks for being a great place to stay for the winter

While appealing in appearance, the Bonita Mesa RV park is so poorly run by an angry power-hungry if not illegally acting, and secretive management, and has an office staff which presents as confused, often giving erroneous information about park rules, which as an unfortunate temporary 'guest' I suffered as a result, more than once, more than twice. For example: on two separate occasions, mail we had paid to have FeExed overnight regarding businesses of ours were held by their little mail distribution office for days. The first day it was late, I went to the mail room and told the man
