Services
My work is based on my strong belief in the basic human drive toward health and healing and the interrelationship of mind, body, and spirit. You've probably noticed that when you're feeling emotionally unhealthy, you're more likely to feel physically unhealthy, to be less mentally alert, and to feel more disconnected from things that are important to you.
The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering. What will therapy with you be like? My clients have described me as warm, supportive, calm, and easy to talk to. My objective is to help you feel comfortable so you can better understand yourself and create a more satisfying life.
If you've been looking for a therapist for depression, you probably won't be surprised to learn that depression is one of the most common mental health issues in the world. Although depression can begin in childhood or in older adulthood, it typically begins in one's late 20s. In a single year, about 12 million people in the U. S. experience depression.
According to the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, anxiety disorders represent the most common mental health problem in the U. S. However, only about one-third of people affected by one of these disorders receive treatment for their anxiety. Psychotherapists recognize that anxiety disorders consist of both emotional and physical symptoms.
Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death. We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially.
